i stumbled across these photos in my album. ive lived in billy the kid country about all my life.

you tend to take some things for granted, and i had never went and toured the historical sites until my cousins (city kids from pittsburgh) visited last year.

anyways, i bought "young guns", we watched it one evening, and the next day drove the "billy the kid trail".

heres the courthouse he escaped from-

heres the stairwell in the courthouse where he shot and killed 1 of the deputies in his escape-

bullet hole still at the bottom of the stairwell in the courthouse-

Great pics!
I LOVE the Young Guns movies. I have them on video. This reminds me that I need to get them on dvd,

My favorite scene is when they are riding through the Indian camp while they were still high on the peyote.

Hey, Chavez, how come they ain't killing us?
Because we're in the spirit world, asshole. They can't see us. :chuckle:

Legend has it up in the hills where I grew up, somewhere there's a stash of gold coins they left hidden in one of their "Robbers Roosts".
