it would have to be Punisher followed by Wolverine (they both have that "i wasnt hired for my disposition" attitude) and arent necessarilly a "hero".

but ultimately it may be Conan from robert e. howard's novels. absolutely loved them and the comics/movies that followed.

holy crom, conan was cool. banging women, drinking ale, looting, and slashing people in half is all he did.

Are we talking favorite in the comics? On tv? or in Movies?

Cause like...in comics, its Batman...on TV, the classic HULK cause he would break stuff in Slow Motion...in movies....the new Spider Man movies Kick Ass. No double about it.

I've seen Lobo twice now, he is a classic character. Even when Super Man dies, Lobo gets a bump cause he was pisssed off that someone other than himself killed Super Man. He's a funny character for sure. Like the classic where he has to kidnap his grade school teacher and bring her back for a bounty he's collecting. He returns her alive, with no arms or legs. Classic.

When I was a kid, it was The Incredible Hulk b/c I was a big fan of the Bill Bixby/Lou Ferigno tv show. Batman was another during that time b/c I grew to love the 50's Adam West tv show.

In terms of from the movies, it's Superman b/c it was at that same time when the Christopher Reeve movies came out.

For anyone who listens to Bob and Tom in the morning, my favorite heroin is "Shirtless Girl'

OK, seriously though, mine would have to be the Punisher! But, does a guy flying a helicopter count as a hero, because I loved Airwolf!

Wow...I think politics would be easier to discuss than this. :flap:

I'm going to have to go with The Punisher. There are no special powers whatsoever. No enhancements, just one guy, a crap load of guns and a really bad attitude! Unlike the other "superheroes" out there, he's the one guy that represents who we all could be.

As for Villains...Doomsday killed Superman. How much bad-arse can you be than to do that?

Wonder Woman and Batman as well as Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Don't forget Batman - he has no super powers, just lots of money to make his wonderful toys/weapons/gadgets... he's still an everyday man trying to do the right thing and using his money for good not greedy ways. I do love the Punisher though, very good call!

Batman - as if being a billionaire playboy isn't enough....you're also The Dark knight......Oh Hell Yeah!!

And of course.......

The Amazon Princess, as wise as Athena, stronger than Hercules and more beautiful than Aphrodite....that'll do it! well, it does it for me anyway!!  .......(but without the camp 70's theme tune please!)

And for runners up it'd have to be:-

Green Arrow - Who wouldn't want a bow and arrow set like that??!!!

Catwoman - as long as it's the Jim Balent (comic book), or Julie Newmar version, and not *shudders* the Halle Berry Hollywood adaptation!!!

The only reason I put the Punisher over Batman is because Batman does have the money and resources necessary to lead his double life. The Punisher has one life...and it is to kill criminals that our Justice System can't/won't touch. He doesn't get great gadgets that aren't available to many of us (because who has a gas propelled grappling gun?)

His stuff is guns and ammo that can be purchased (or stolen) in nearly every state with relative ease.

But yeah, prior to my getting into the realm of the Punisher, I was (and still am) a HUGE Batman fan. The Christian Bale version on the TV is the best I've seen too!

Here's a new one. The Rock as Shazam. :sofunny:

http://www.comicbookmovie.com/images/news/comic-news/therock.jpg

A scooper who I shall hereby name Peppermint Patty has sent us a tidbit about Warner Bros further attempting to [frick] up a potential superhero franchise with piss poor casting. The scooper tells us that there has been an increase in interest in the Warners halls of power in regards to a possible SHAZAM! movie, including talk about a script and a possible star. In this case the star they are looking at is wrestling superstar The Rock, who couldn't be more wrong for this part.

In case you aren't familiar with the SHAZAM! (Captain Marvel) mythos, our hero is Billy Batson, a 12 year old paperboy who shouts the word "Shazam" to become the heavily muscled adult superhero Captain Marvel. The thing about Marvel is that he retains Batson's 12 year old mind, and so is na´ve, innocent and goodnatured. It's hard to imagine The Rock as anything other than profanityfilterprofanityfilterprofanityfilterprofa nityfiltery, snotty and wooden. He would make for a decent Black Adam, Captain Marvel's centuries old foe, who looks pretty much just like him but with pointy ears and a black costume.

Of course this is only a rumor at this point, and even if it's true that these talks are going on at the studio, our scooper tells us that the execs are worried about stealing the thunder from the ever in development Superman film, worried that the two characters are too alike. There's some truth to that as, back in the prehistory of superhero comics, DC sued the shit out of Captain Marvel publisher Fawcett comics for infringing on their Superman trademarks with the character.

As a wee young laddie it was SpiderMan and Ultra-Man............then evolved to Iron Man as well as the Avengers (Scarlet Witch was a HOTTIE back in the day!).
