Bring on the Cards

Monday, March 30, 2009
By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The Steelers and Arizona, who ended the 2008 season in the Super Bowl, will open the preseason at Heinz Field Aug. 13 at 8 p.m.

Buffalo also will pay a visit to Heinz Field in the preseason for a game that will be scheduled the weekend of Aug. 27-31.

The Steelers two road games in the preseason are at Washington Aug. 20-24, and at Carolina Sept. 3-4.

The NFL announced its entire preseason schedule today, but has not yet revealed the actual days or times for most games.

That's rubbing it in their faces - I like it. Hope they bring out the Lombardi before the game and show them what it looks like.

I guess they trade Philly for the Cardinals. I think they try to schedule the Super Bowl teams for preseason, don't they? Attempting to make a silk purse from the pigs ear that is preseason in the NFL...

I like this. Our 2 away games will be where it's hot, which should help in conditioning. Those 2 games should knock about 10 pounds off Hampton.

That should be an interesting pre-season opener.

Sweet, they're playing the Skins again, so I'll be able to watch our 3rd stringers dominate the Redskins offense.

I always look forward to having the annual Pittsburgh Vs Carolina Pre-season Finale game.even though it's a preseason game I look forward to it since We've played them in in the preseason for six years in a row.

I wish there were more televised games or I wish the Steelers played the Eagles. Living out in Eastern PA in Eagles country I only see Steeler preseason games nationally televised or playing the Eagles. Otherwise I have to follow the game on NFL.com or listen to it on a Pittsburgh radio station online

Always good to see some games of the future for our Steelers. I know its just the pre-season schedule but I am looking forward to it and just maybe I can get down to Charlotte, NC to see them play the Panthers in the final pre-season game. It aint but about 2 hours from me so maybe I can get some tickets to see our boys. As far as the other games, its just pre-season so it doesnt matter much to me, but its good to see who we have to play for sure..
