Week 1 - 9/10 - Tennessee (NBC) 8:30 pm
Week 2 - 9/20 - @ Chicago (CBS) 4:15 pm
Week 3 - 9/27 - @ Cincinnati (CBS) 1:00 pm
Week 4 - 10/4 - San Diego (NBC SNF) 8:20 pm
Week 5 - 10/11 - @ Detroit (CBS) 1:00 pm
Week 6 - 10/18 - Cleveland (CBS) 1:00 pm
Week 7 - 10/25 - Minnesota (FOX) 1:00 pm
Week 8 - BYE
Week 9 - 11/9 - @ Denver (ESPN MNF) 8:30 pm
Week 10 - 11/15 - Cincinnati (CBS) 1:00 pm
Week 11 - 11/22 - @ Kansas City (CBS) 1:00 pm
Week 12 - 11/29 - @ Baltimore (NBC SNF) 8:20 pm
Week 13 - 12/6 - Oakland (CBS) 1:00 pm
Week 14 - 12/10 - @ Cleveland (NFLN) 8:20 pm
Week 15 - 12/20 - Green Bay (FOX) 1:00 pm
Week 16 - 12/27 - Baltimore (CBS) 1:00 pm
Week 17 - 1/3 - @ Miami (CBS) 1:00 pm

I know we usually talk about (at least last year) which teams we can reasonably beat, but with this schedule, who can we reasonably lose to?

I'm thinking the toughest games will be:

Week 1 - Tennessee
Week 7 - Minnesota
Week 9 - Denver
And both games aginst B-more.

We can lose to any of them. Look at the last hangover season.

yep. detroit is a game we might lose.

looks like ryan clark gets to serve a 1 game "suspension" week 9 in denver.

Anyone of them. They will all be tough games. Nobody had us losing to Oakland, or Denver, or Atlanta in 2006. Hell, we could lose the first four weeks if the Steelers sleepwalk like in 2006.

I cant wait to see this day tear A.P. apart. Any game we can lose but with Tomlin in charge I dont see that being a problem

-Chicago will especially be improved and a tough game.
-Intriguing that the Steelers play primetime games in Cleveland and Baltimore. Looks like Baltimores' whining won out.

I think it's a given that we could lose to any of them. But if i had to pick the most likely, that's my list. And finishing out the regular season at Miami dont look so pretty either.

We do pretty well in Florida in Jan/Feb.

We might loose to tennesee, one game against the ravens, packers MAYBE. In order to win you need a QB, the vikings dont have one.

Why all the 1:00 games?

I guess nobody wants to watch us steamroll over everybody. Hope they're right.

Ha! I just noticed we play the Ravens in primetime...........I guess whining doesn't pay off!

They only requested that we don't play primetime at heinz field, and unfortunately they did get their wish

I agree the "any given sunday" thing is true to some extent. But some of these teams we are going to and their asses to them, while rolling up the terrible towel and smacking it.

Tennessee, both Baltimore games, San Diego

As for the comments about the 2006 season, that's not happening again.

That season Ben was in a motorcycle accident in the offseason, had an emergency appendectomy a week before the season started, got a concussion and then played the next week after a flight to Oakland. Not to mention Cowher had North Carolina on his mind.

This year we will have an accident-free Ben and a coach just as hungry as he was last season. There won't be any sleepwalking or hangover.

I really can't see any scenario (if Ben is healthy) where the Steelers lose more than 5 ----

12-4 it is .... 1 to Baltimore, 1 to a terrible team (Cle/CIN/?) , 2 to SD/Min/GB/MIami

Second Ravens game is a Flex game and could easily end up being a primetime game at Heinz...Too Funny.

They can't flex that game to primetime because it is a divisional matchup and the first meeting was already tapped for primetime. CBS and FOX are guaranteed not to lose both divisional matchups.

Agreed ... but CBS does have the 4:15 game that week. So it could move there instead of the Colts vs Jets, if either of those teams are having bad seasons, or if that game is flexed to primetime (although it is unlikely the NFL would move Dallas off a primetime game for fear of a temper tantrum from Jeeeery Jones). I'd say it is very likely we will stay at 1:00

Week 2 in Chicago will be a razor thin loss
Week 4 against SD will be the only home loss this year
Week 12 at Baltimore - Even a 3 legged dog with 1 eye and torn nut sack gets lucky once in his life
Week 17 at Miami - but only if they aren't in a race for home field with the Pats

My take is a little different, IMO. I think we win all the big marquee match-ups and our biggest threats are when we "take weeks off".

Detroit is a dangerous game. They'll be gunning for us. At Denver and especially at KC are trap games. And that last game against Miami....they'll almost certianly be playing for something while we may be once again in a bye situation where the game doesn't mean much.

I have us at 12-4, but not necessarily losing to those 4. Baltimore have become the Browns II, our little bitches...we are so in their head it may be YEARS before they beat us again.

As a realistic guess I would say we could loose:
@ Chicago (improved team trying to make a statement)
@ either Denver or KC( tough places to play and one could upset us - not both)
@ Baltimore ( they are due, but wont beat us at home)
Minnesota or Green Bay at home (just because i think we will one home game)

12-4 same as last year is what I say....

I am worried about this game. However, just out of the gate, excited... We COULD take it.

The homer in me wants to say we win it. But the logic in me says we lose by a field goal or two.
Week 2 - 9/20 - @ Chicago (CBS) 4:15 pm

Just the opposite of Tennessee. We SHOULD take this game, but there will be some surprises. We should win.

We win this game in a decent fashion. It will be a bit sloppy, but we will pull it out.

Week 3 - 9/27 - @ Cincinnati (CBS) 1:00 pm

Week 4 - 10/4 - San Diego (NBC SNF) 8:20 pm

Come home to papa. Put on your big boy-pants and take it like a man!

Week 5 - 10/11 - @ Detroit (CBS) 1:00 pm

Week 6 - 10/18 - Cleveland (CBS) 1:00 pm

Week 7 - 10/25 - Minnesota (FOX) 1:00 pm

Interesting game, one of the best rushers against one of the best rushing defenses! We win... but we will need the bye week.

Week 8 - BYE

When was the last time we had a bye week this late in the season? Thank GOODNESS we got it.
Week 9 - 11/9 - @ Denver (ESPN MNF) 8:30 pm

I think, for some reason, we light em up this game.

Week 10 - 11/15 - Cincinnati (CBS) 1:00 pm

Week 11 - 11/22 - @ Kansas City (CBS) 1:00 pm

Week 12 - 11/29 - @ Baltimore (NBC SNF) 8:20 pm

BRUTAL-- but we pull it out. I think we are in their heads now. They have not won a meaningful game against us since 2006.

Week 13 - 12/6 - Oakland (CBS) 1:00 pm

Week 14 - 12/10 - @ Cleveland (NFLN) 8:20 pm

Week 15 - 12/20 - Green Bay (FOX) 1:00 pm

Dangerous game. I think we lose, because we will be a couple games ahead of Baltimore. We may even be careful with our players this game.

Week 16 - 12/27 - Baltimore (CBS) 1:00 pm

What will happen this game? Simple. http://images.paraorkut.com/img/pics/glitters/s/slap-7372.gif

Week 17 - 1/3 - @ Miami (CBS) 1:00 pm

We lose. Though our 2nd team will have come VERY close to beating them.

13-3 I think, will be our record.

Teams I think me might lose to is:
Miami. Not because they are a better team (far from!) but we might already be in playoffs and have nothing to play for and Miami could very well be in a battle for a spot like last season.
Detroit: I fear we might choke this one, somehow I think we always make it hard for ourself in games against bad teams.
Baltimore: I find it hard to belive that we will win both games against them again, we will lose in week 12 I think, but hope not hehe.

All in all we could lose to a lot of these teams but we should win most of them.
Any givin Sunday:)

The games against the Vikes, Broncs (mainly with the altitude issue), The Titties, the Pack and the Fins look to be our toughest games, outside of playing the Rats twice (who usually give us a hard time) look to be the most difficult games in the Steelers schedule. But, as I always say - any given Sunday.
