Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports the Bengals are being considered to be the featured team on this year's Hard Knocks:Training Camp series, which is aired on HBO in late July and August. No final decision has been made though by HBO or NFL Films, which produces the series.

Both HBO and NFL Films like teams that train away from their home complexes during training camp, which makes the Bengals a fit. Bengals coach Marvin Lewis also has experience with what the series entails. He was the defensive coordinator at Baltimore during the first year the series ran in 2000.

I kind of think it doesn't matter much what team it is, fans of the game will probably watch. If I had HBO I would, even with it being the Bengals.

What?

The Bengals already have a show, it's called "Cops", this is hardly news.

Spin-off possibilities galore...follow the convicts as they navigate their way through the criminal justice system.

This would be a juicy deal for HBO...tons of scandal.

That would be a great location for filming. They could call it......."Cincinatti Bengals-----The Biggest Losers"

Sounds kind of catchy doesnt it??

Why cant the Steelers get on that?

I doubt Tomlin would put up with the nonsense and distractions I'm sure it creates.

Lets see.......so far its been The Chiefs....that turned out pretty good for them........lol

Last year the Cowpokes..........arguably the most disapointing team in the NFL considering the talent they have.

The odds of the Steelers signing on for this kind of a distration are ZERO. Let the Jerry Jones' of the league have at it. Lord knows poor Jerry just can't seem to get enough attention.

Hell - they could make it into a reality TV series . . . .

Dancing With the Inmates or The Criminal Apprentice.

So true. I think it was the Jacksonville one where they showed guys piling up the rookies with shoulder pads, Byron Leftwich was talking about how bad the beds were and Del Rio was telling him how he got thru camp for his 10 years in the NFL

That was the first time I saw Bob Ligashesky as an assistant Special Teams coach. The guy had energy like Bobby April when he was young.

Wait the Bungles actually hold a real training camp. Do they actually practice or just fool around?

Actually that franchise is such a train wreck it will probally be one of the most interesting hardknocks to watch. the only franchise that might provide more entertainment would be the raiders
