View Full Version : PM's

Hey mike, I just tried to send a PM, and noticed it wasnt in my sent items, and as soon as I sent it, I got the error that the Admin has only allowed 1 message for 30 seconds or whatever. But it doesnt show that it sent, this happened before like a week ago, but wasnt anything important so I didnt bother to report it, in case it was just a fluke. but now it happened again, so wanted to let ya know.

Hmmm... Have you selected 'Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder' under 'Additional Options'? Also, flood check is enabled, which only allows 1 pm every 30 seconds. If you receive the error again copy and paste it for me.

I got nothing from you.

yeah thats what I though, I cant figure it out. It must be some kinda permissions issue w/ VB..thats all I can think of. Oh well, until it gets fixed..if any of you wanna get ahold of me, just find online via one of the my screen names on messenger, or drop me an email.

Still searching for a solution. I've looked through the PM permissions and everything is fine. The only thing that I can think of since everyone else is able to send/receive is that in your UserCP you have 'Enable Private Messaging' unchecked.

ok..here we go!
03-14-2005, 01:07 AM
no dice..just tried sending one to you, and to clevestinks... same thing..
Sorry! The administrator has specified that users can only post one message every 60 seconds.
I would say, maybe its something screwy w/ my username / account, but since clevestinks has a similar prob sometimes, just not sure now.
I could try making a new account on SF, and see if I can send them from there if u like.
Thanks for the help boss! :)

BlitzburghRockCity, I changed your password so that I could log into your account and see what was going on first-hand.
Check your e-mail address for the new password. Once you log in you may change it to what you had it set to previously.

clevestinks, have you received the same error below?
"Sorry! The administrator has specified that users can only post one message every 60 seconds."

no probs Mike, thanks. It did kinda throw me for minute there, but no worries. Also if it helps, I receive the PM's just fine, as well as the email notifications that i have a pm..just cant reply to them.

I just disabled 'Private Message Flood Checking' for all users. Check to see if works now!

Mike, I sent ya test PM, I think it worked... YAY !!!!! :bouncy:
03-15-2005, 07:38 PM
I got it! Now, I enabled 'Private Message Flood Checking'. Try sending a PM again. If it doesn't work I'll just disable it until I can find a solution to the problem.
