Does anyone know/ have any predictions about what numbers our new draft picks will choose. I always love seeing what numbers guys pick. Thanks!:tt02:
I'm sure they will keep their college numbers and if they're not available, pick something close. I think Ziggy Hood already picked #97, but I'm not sure...

They didn't give Urbik #63?

Yeah that was Dermontti Dawson's number. Keep in mind that Pittsburgh has officially retired only one number in their history. The rest are kind of let be.

Maybe he'll channel the spirit of Davenport :flap:

Well, upon further research, he wore #4 in college, so I guess it was natural...but still.
He'll have to do some good stuff to make me forget that Dookie ever even existed.

I liked Najeh...except for the fact he beat his baby's mom and was inconsistent. Who am I kidding he was okay his first year.

You mean run to upright and get stuffed at the LOS? I hope he doesn't channel the spirit of Dookie!

Joe Burnett was #19 in college. Somehow he got stuck with #40... That will change I am sure. Part of being a rookie I guess!

The organization seems to work around certain numbers even though they're not retired. Its no coincidence that 12, 32, 36, 52, 58, 59, 63, 75, & 88 are not being used. Theres not a whole lot left after that. 1, 4, 42, & 70 (Ernie Stautner....only retired #)

Also keep in mind....the numbers of some of the new players could change...when the final 53 man roster is released. A recent example of this that comes to mind...is Woodley during the offseason/preseason...he was 55...after final cuts he was 56. Not saying any will change...but theres a chance of it.

No, it's honoring Tommy Maddox - twice.

I think Sweeds number 14 is the coolest jersey in the league. I hope he plays well enough this year so I can buy one.
