Dump Cake

Ingredients:

1 - Box Cake (generally a yellow or white cake will do, but whatever your flavor of choice is)
1 - Can of Cherry Pie Filling (regular size can)
1 - Can of Crushed Pineapple
1 - 13" baking dish (I prefer glass)

Step 1 - Drain the Pineapple, dump it into the 13" baking dish
Step 2 - Dump the Cherry Pie filling into the 13" baking dish.
Step 3 - Mix it all around until it's evenly coating the bottom (it's not very thick)
Step 4 - Open the box cake and evenly distribute it on top of the the fruity gooey substance
Step 5 - Bake at 350 until the Cake mix is starting to turn a golden brown.
Step 6 - Pull from oven and let it cool.

Best served with a scoop of vanilla icecream.

You can replace the cherries with an apple pie filling instead...and the pineapple (if it's too acidic) with a can of mixed fruit (but you'll need to drain the mixed fruit.)

That being said, I've heard that man can never have too many cherries in his life...take that how you want it.

Sounds like my wife's recipe except she takes a stick of butter and cuts into thin tabs. Then she places the butter tabs evenly across the top of the dry cake mix.

The butter sounds like a great addition - so this needs no eggs or oil, correct?
