Punch Buggy and Slug Bug!

Ok, so my family and I play the Punch Buggy aka Slug Bug game when driving around. Since we don't really want our kids hitting each other too hard, we have come up with a system of points and scoring. This has cut down on the really hard punches by our daughters on one another.

New Punch Buggy = 1 point
New Punch Buggy Convertable = 2 points
Old School Punch Buggy = 3 points
Old School Punch Buggy Convertable = 5 points
Old School V.W. Van (Hippy Bus) = 20 points.

Now the Hippy buses are very rare, however, it has gotten to the point where once we know where one is, the wife and I tend to drive in that direction, taking the long way, just to get the call. And now, VW is running commercials with the Old School Van. I got my wife with the Old School Black Punch Buggy the other night while the commercial was on, I started laughing, then she says "Oh Yeah, wait for it" And I'm like what? And sure enough, the garage opens in the commercial and she yells out "Old School Punch Buggy BUS!"

Anyway, fun thing to do to bring a family together. The good old Punch Buggy, Slug Bug game. Nothing like a little violence to losen the mood!

Yeah, our girls want to do that but we've nixed that idea. Too much punching and yelling. We keep it with the V.W.s

I have gotten several bruises from playing that game from years ago. We used to play it on our way to school on the school bus.

When I was in college (bible college) there was no gambling allowed.

SO instead of using money, we would bet punches. . . No fights ever broke out, but there were a few times one night that eyes glazed over and a couple others had to hold on to someone.
