Only if I owned McFarlanes, man. I don't know about U guys, but as a Steelers fan, I can't believe how little is offered 4 the Steelers nation. Every year same figure with minor changes. :banging: Disappointed.

That's why I make my own. 22 and counting.

Just as the NFL exists so the Steelers have teams to play, McFarlane makes NFL figures as subjects for custom Steelers.

Holy sh*t. This is 1 of the best looking collection I've ever seen.

Could U show us the Steelers 50th anniversary figure, please. & maybe some information on the anniversary history, 2. Like who was on that team, etc. & do U have real photos from that time as well? I wanted 2 learn.

I have not been able to locate a list of the Steelers 50th players, but if memory serves, take the modern (83 0n) ones off and you probably have it.

I have tons of images from the bygone eras, being from Pittsburgh and "older". Household names growing up...

I have a feeling this will be "Troy 2"...a Steve Smith repaint.

http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu191/vinnyq/Troycustom2.gif

This is a great subject. I did a Santonio from this.

I would hope they use the Bruschi figure as the basis for that astounding Troy catch last year...

http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu191/vinnyq/Troycustom.jpg

This is a GREAT custom (I didn't do it) that I have been pondering. Going to wait to see what McF comes out with.

http://blogs.phillyburbs.com/news/bct/wp-content/blogs.dir/3/files/00foster.jpg

Absolutely. That was my original inspiration to do custom McFarlanes. I saw a 12" Barry Foster throwback and said to myself "Self, you need to try this!".

http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu191/vinnyq/Fosterthrowback.jpg

In 1994, the NFL's 75th Anniversary season, the Steelers played two games in 1933 throwback uniforms, as seen in your picture. There is little on the net about those but I found a site years back that had a good history. Link now dead...
'
http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu191/vinnyq/33SteelersUniform.jpg

The uni on the left is the 1933. The image in the center is the City of Pittsburgh logo. I mocked it up as much as I could in PowerPoint following the Foster McFarlane graphic because I like it better...

http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu191/vinnyq/Decals2.jpg

And thus was born my first custom McFarlane...

http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu191/vinnyq/DSC01120.jpghttp://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu191/vinnyq/DSC01121.jpghttp://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu191/vinnyq/DSC01122.jpg

Is the 33 throwback "true" to the original uniform? Sort of. The original helmet was yellow, and the City logo was reverse black & white. But I really liked the 94 throwbacks.

Wow. Thank U. I found 1994 roster on http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/pit/1994_roster.htm Thanks so much.

BTW, I had exact same Favre figure that I didn't know what 2 do. Then I saw your figures, & now my Bell's figure with away jersey is with it just they way U positioned em on your shelf. :wink02: U rock.

Is Kendrell swatting the ball? :chuckle:

Yeah, I got that Favre in a 2 pack with Urlacher and quickly substituted Bell. Looks MUCH better. Urlacher's top became my Farrior.

I got another 2 pack earlier this spring - Portis jumping McStabbin...

I'm pondering Portis becoming Silverback hurdling Tomlinson in 05...

http://s647.photobucket.com/albums/uu191/vinnyq/20051011pd_fbn_int_leapPJ_450.jpg

And McStabbin into Silverback going into Marsha low and another Bell as Woodley hitting him high. :chuckle: That would be an insensitive display. But hey, not everyone can make insensitive work for them.

How about Michael Turner being a re-paint of The Bus...

:chuckle: On mine, Kendrell looks more like if he's going 2 grab Favre's arse. (which is exactly what my wife said after I asked her opinion ).

& I was actually wondering if Portis could B turned into Willie or Rashard before. :chuckle: So it would B more like a sweet revenge on our part. :noidea:

Yeah, the original 2-pack was a little suspect as well...

http://www.mcfarlane.com/toys/football/other/bfavre-burlacher/images/other_bfavre-burlacher_photo_01_dl.jpg

Plus, Urlacher is way too small to use here. In real life, he's taller than Favre.

So I have Kendrell in the process of a sack and going for the ball...

N sides, there will be no grabass among the McFarlanes. :chuckle: Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Nice collection. You do a great job. I wish I had your talent.

I display my McFarlane figures with my autographed mini helmet collection I have started. The only problem with that is that a few of the helmets I have there is no figure for.

When will McFarlane get it right and start making different players instead of 6 of the same guy? Would you rather have 4 roethlisbergers or 1 Roethlisberger, 1 Heath Miller, 1 James Harrison and 1 Lamaar Woodley?

Some things I'd like to see the company make would be all of the Hall of Famers. Head coaces and maybe the great assistant coaches like Lebeau. Why not make all of the Superbowl MVPs? They could make them in a signature pose from their Superbowl. They could make Santonios game winning catch, Hines leaping into the endzone in SB XL, Lynn Swanns leaping catch, Franco crossing the goal line in SB IX ect. I would also like to see a Steelers 4 pack consisting of Dwight White, Ernie Holmes, Mean Joe Greene, and L.C. Greenwood.
