This is something they should have done already..IMO..they need defensive help in the worst way. They have some decent RB, and u can always draft or FA one to help carry the load.

Miami?? they signed to defensive ends already, maybe Jason Taylor will be traded, but I do realize they are considering a 3-4 with him as a lb

What I meant to say was that I think Miami would be a team that is the most interested. They ned a big running game after the Williams crap. And they are bringing in DE when the alreadt have a Great De

What it does show is the pecking order in the NFL. Peyton is the man in Indy. Gotta give him toys. Resign Harrison, deal James to pay the bill. QB holds the cards. On the other hand, Ben will be the man(Mike whats the crystal ball say?)and asks that Burress comes back. We make no calls and remind Ben that running is everything. When it comes to senior statesmen in the NFL Peyton is head of the Senate.

Payton is overrated. He calls his own plays after all. How many teams do you see throw from the 1 as much as Indy? Pad the numbers Payton but you will never win anything! It's amazing how many TD's he throw's from inside the five. James must really hate him...lol

I don`t know if Peyton is overated, but I do know all thier $$ goes to offense and no Defense. And this is Tony Dungy we are tlaking of???

03-15-2005, 03:00 PM
Yeah its surprising how much of a lack of defense there really is in Indy. Even in Tampa, tony built that defense into stardom at the expense ofthe offense..now its 180 degree turn.

Someone needs remind him of his Steelers days. 60% defense 40 %offense

well thsi mannign gettign 100 mill thats bullshit u cant ven use 100 mill in life how many houses are u gonna buy hes a rich basterd who wont win the big one, if u dotn notice i hate mannine Ben did betetr then a record setting QB agaisnt pats in 2 games then mannign did in his 2 games.

The thing with Dungy is his is not afraid of the close game, and he loves to ride the hot hand. By this I mean he doesn't need to win by 14 or more, doesn't care if he puts up 3 or 50, as long as its a win. Then you add that into he doesn't go after weakness for a balanced team, he overloads the strength to make a monster one side. In Tampa he stocked that defense, cause he knew it would be easier and faster to build one to hold teams under 10 points than to create and offense that could score 11 or more. In Indy its the same. Go out and get 3-4 defense helps/bandaids? No way. Get rid of James, reload, maybe draft on defensive bandaid, and bang...we know score 4 more points a game, maybe give up 1.5 less = net gain of 5.5 which might make the difference.

exactly.. take all that moneyur spending to keep an overpriced RB when u have plenty of other options and build up ur DL and LB corp so u can stop somebody and keep ur offense fromhaving to score 50 points a game just to win.
