I've seen a lot of people on here talk about a lack of depth for the Steelers LBs this year. Well, pretty good news.

Boss Bailey was cut from the Broncos. He has put up decent stats, but is injury prone. (coming off microfracture knee surgery). This guy has a lot of potential and talent, and could make a great special teams player and 3rd MLB.

Stats: Career
Games 64
Tackles 305
Solo 226
Sacks 7.0
Forced Fumbles 2
Ints 2
Yards 32
TDs 1

Honors:
A first-team All-SEC
Semifinalist for the Butkus and Lombardi Awards as a senior
Named All-Rookie by ESPN.com and Football Digest with Detroit in 2003

Date of birth: October 14, 1979 (age 29)
Height: 6 ft 3 in (1.91 m)
Weight: 232 lb (105 kg)

So what do you think? He should be cheap since he is coming off an injury. We would be smart to get him in a 1-2 year deal in my opinion.

Can't you find someone better. He is just Champ's lesser talented brother

I think we have several LBs that can take over in an emergency. Keyaran Fox comes to mind. It doesn't pay to pick up other peoples' trash (they get rid of them for a reason) when you have serviceable backups. The Steelers continue to be good because they don't succumb to spending a lot of money on free agents. The good ones the Steelers can't afford. The Boss Baileys of the world are no better than the backups we already have who already know the playbook.

He'll be a Cleveland Brown in two weeks.

Alex Lewis. A linebacker for the Lions will be on the market soon. He is a unknown 5th round draft pick out of Wisc, The kid is ideal for our system. He is fast and undersized and has a huge chip on his shoulder. He was starting last year until injuries forced him out of the line up. A-Lew is a monster. You heard it here first.

Those are the key words injury prone. I would not want him, we don't need someone to sit on the sideline with an injury.
