Holmes has bulked up in the offseason in hopes of adding strength to counter physical defensive backs, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Spin: "I'm going to face a lot more bigger corners this year...I've got to get off those jams and separate myself from those guys," he was quoted. He weighed in at 201 pounds Monday, but expects to play around 195 for the season. Holmes knows he will be the primary receiving option this year and as long as he doesn't lose any speed, it's a smart move to improve his strength and conditioning.
