Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this site but not to being a Steelers fan! I'm 45 and the first Steelers game I watched was the Immaculate Reception game with my uncle who was visiting from Pittsburgh at the time. He got me started. As you can imagine my 11 yr old son loves the Steelers as well. I've promised to take him to a game this year. The last game I went to was in the mid 90's at Three Rivers. My wife and I drove from Worcester, MASS and everyone we met couldn't have been nicer!

I'm zeroing in on the late Oct. game this year against the Vikings to try to get to. My question to all you road trippers out there or residents of the Steel City is: Is it too risky to head to Pittsburgh and expect to get tickets around the stadium or do I have to pay 3 to 4 times the face value from say Stub Hub and get piece of mind that we're all set when we leave Massachusetts? ( I hate the Patriots by the way, I call them the Tape - tree - otts ) Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks - Jeff:tt02:

Hiya Sterling and welcome to Steelers Fever!:tt02::drink:

Whether you buy 'em from Stub Hub or from a scalper around Heinz Field, you're going to pay top dollar for them, especially with the Steelers coming off of a Super Bowl year. You may want to check the links at the top of the page - maybe they sell the tickets a little cheaper. Good luck! :drink:

Welcome to the board...you will defineatly be able to get tickets outside of the stadium from scalpers but you have to watch it, some of them are shady. I've been to many, many, many games and have usually scalped tickets, but one unfortunate time we were escorted from our seats after the first five minutes because they said the tickets we used to get in were stolen

If you are driving that far, I wouldn't risk trying to get scalped tickets.

Buy the cheapest tickets you can, regardless of where they are located, and regardless of whether they are together or not,

then arrive a bit early, and stand on the big spirals to watch the game. I tried to get my wife to do that last year, but she wanted seats, so we spent a lot more money.
