I don`t mind playing on the road tomorrow! But inside, in the winter? What the heck. A bunch of grown men playing arena football! Come on Indy, be real men and tough it out!

I never liked the idea of playing NFL football in a dome. Hockey? Yes. Football? No. They take away from the football experience. If Heinz was built to be a dome, I would have sold my season tickets. Well, I wouldn't go that far, but I would have been pretty pissed off If that was the case. Thankfully, our ownership is smarter than that and they understand the true meaning of the game and the way it was 'meant' to be played.

I personally don't like domes. I like when the wind, the rain, snow, or other weather is involved.

I don't like domes either. They're for pansies. Battling the elements is part of the fun of the game. It's no surprise our Steelers don't have a dome. :bouncy:

There is one team in the CFL who has a dome, BC Lions. Montreal alouettes have a dome for playoffs. I don't like domes either.

I completely agree. I'm SO glad we play outdoors. If we ever got a dome i dont know what id do. I've always hated domes... Its not football if theres no snow:cool: or even a possibility of snow:rolleyes:

The Elements make football the sport it is.

Watching a game that is being played in the snow or rain is so awesome!
It's definatley my favorite kind of game!

Dome games don't hold that magic!

Games in domes suck. That's why we have the Arena/Indoor Football Leagues. Those are the only leagues that should have indoor football.

"Blew out"? Are you talking about the game when NE kicked a FG in OT to win? Is that a blowout in your world?

What's funny about the refs calling a fumble an incomplete pass?

oh no. not another tuck rule arguement.

ok, one more time.....

it IS a stupid rule!!!!! I agree totally!!! But it WAS the rule.
AND, nobody made the Raiders lay down like dogs afterwards, including an OT that they didnt even show up for.

Domes suck. What's so fun about playing in a controlled environment? It totally sucks.Practicing indoors is fine...but playing the game indoors sucks.

Hopefully when/if the Vikings get a new stadium,it will be an open air stadium, even if partially domed like Texas Stadium.

Are you talking about the Oakland/Pats game? Stop "Living In The Past"...after all, the Pats company line is what happens here and now is all that matters, so stuff from 1980 is just as irrelevant as last week.

I agree. Domes are wussy. Football is an outdoor sport.

Also, I think it's about time we get the SuperBowl in some of the outdoor Northern stadiums. Pittburgh has a nice new stadium. FEDEX holds 92,000. I don't see why either one couldn't host a SB.

1980, you mean the last time the Steelers.........oh, i wont say it...

I think domes are better cause no team has an advatage because of weather. You have to win on the talent of your team not wether you can play in a certain weather or not.

Last time I checked the weather affected both teams equally. Besides, if what you say is true than the flip side is also true. Those teams that are used to playing on astroturf have an unfair advantage at home.

When one team is used to playing in a certain weather condition and the other team is not.....it of course gives one team an advantage over the other. I mean I like games in the rain or snow as much as anybody.....I just think domes are overall better to play in. You throw a bad pass in a dome its cause you threw it not cause the wind took it or anything, You fumble the ball its cause you did it not cause it was wet or whatever and If you miss a kick its cause you just flat out missed it not cause it was windy or wet

01-19-2006, 09:33 AM
Nope im sure you could tell who im a fan of by the sig and avatar. I just dont think theres as many excuses when played in a dome everyone has the same advantage and disadvantage. You gotta rely on your talent not wether you can play in the weather

i'm sure when they get a new stadium it's gonna be like the texans, one that opens and closes, cause that's what most ppl are getting now, the cards new stadium will do that and the cowboys new stadium will do that
