No problem... there will be a lot of pictures taken. I think the new Lincoln Zephyr looks awesome from what I've seen.

I haven't seen one in person yet, and the online pictures are, well...inadaquate. I'll probably just buy another LS, but I'd consider the Zephyr if it's a little sportier...

Hey Suit, I finally got around to the pics from the Detroit Autoshow. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the Ferrari, or the Zephyr. There were alot of cars there, and they may cycle them out to the floor on different days. I did find an awesome Lincoln I expect is gonna replace the Town Car, check it out...

I am a Ford/Audi man so these were some of the best cars there IMO, but this one was my favorite. It is unbelievable in person.

Thanks, dude...rep coming your way. What did you think of the Zephyr? I'm still not sure yet...I didn't like the new Caddies when they first came out, but now I love them. Do they remind you of the CTS?

Also, any pics of the Dodge Challenger? Chevy Camaro?

I think I did get some pics of the Challenger... I know I saw it, and it was mean lookin. I will post more when I get a chance.

I like the Zephyr alot, and it's funny you would say it because it totally reminds me of the CTS. I told my friend when it first came out it was Lincoln's answer to the CTS. I also was on the fence with the new Caddies when they first came out, and now I love them. especially the fully loaded versions. I like the STS alot.

and I love the V8 CTS-V...

They race them at Mid-Ohio in the American Lemans SPEED GT... Audi's S6 won nearly every race for three years until it came along. It is the fastest car on the circuit... it could actually hang with the Audi's who were the fastest AWD car in the circuit, and they obviously were RWD. Amazing...

Probably the most attractive Lincoln available

Little Lexus influence there in the back. I don't know, I'm still partial to my LS, but it does seem the sheet metal is getting a little dated.

I'm probably about 18 months away from buying, but that's about how long it takes me to pick out what I want anyway...

I would of liked to see them make a more pronounced body line comming of the wheel are ala CTS to make a more pronounced fender and kinda pay homage to the distinctive grill/body line of the original

Suitanim

I think the Zephyr tag was more about paying homage to an old icon than trying to create a retro thing.

The original Zephyr was just such a distinctive car, when you saw it you had no doubt what you were looking at, between the bug eye style head lights and the distinctive grill line it was very unique... It wasnt just another 37 Ford or a 37 Chevy. There is just nothing about the new one that screams hey I'm different from the run of the mill 4 door sedan

That's why I like what they did with the Mustang and Challenger. If you want to really spark buyers interest, give them something proven that the German's and Japanese can never deliver.

I just typed a HUGE response listing all the US cars I've owned since I was 15 and the maybe 5-6 problesm I've had in the last 20 years, but I guess this timed out.

Anyway, from a '67 Camaro to a 2001 Lincoln LS, and plenty of cars in between, I've never seen a reason to buy a foreign car, and I probably never will...

I purchased an Audi S4 with some inheritance money, and I totaled it in an unfortunate accident. With the claim I payed off some credit debt and bought an Audi A4, and I've had nothing but problems... not to mention the cost to repair those problems. I had a timing belt and water pump replaced for $3,600. I also paid $960 for brakes and rotors all the way around. That isn't even at the dealership... Currently, I have a transmission problem consisiting of a bad throw-out bearing, and a bad synchronizer... not to mention the clutch that will likely call for a new transmission. The last time our mechanic at Euro-Auto in Cincy did a complete transmission in an A4 he charged $7,500. I bought the car for $19,900...

I love Audi's, but the cost to repair them is ridiculous. I will never own another German car again unless I'm financially ready to take on the cost of repairs. I will say that nothing drives like a well maintained German car. They are really on another level as far as automobile engineering... even down to the way the doors shut, but someone like myself can't handle the cost of repairs.

If you buy a German car it better be under warranty...

Another reason why I won't be buying German...well, you know Lexus is no better.
