View Full Version : International Fan: Planning Trip To Pittsburgh - Tickets?
07-26-2009, 06:13 AM
I hope to travel to Pittsburgh in the next year or two, i would love to make it there as soon as possible.
What i am hoping to find is a way to be able to buy tickets to NFL games. I know there are a fair few international fans around the forums, to those who have made the trip to the US, how did you go about purchasing your tickets? how far in advance of the actual game/s did you purchase the tickets? and if anybody from the US could contribute that would be great as well!
Thank you, any help is greatly appreciated.

I always steer people who want to buy tickets to the Steelers ticket exchange.
Right now there's nothing listed but they usually have a wide range of seats. Season tix holders just got their tickets last week so I think the site will be up soon.
If you make travel plans for a game later in the season be mindful if it occurs during a flex week, The time of the game may change during those weeks. Also you want to factor in weather and travel delays the the latter part of the season. (ie snow)
Good luck! I hope you get seats.

Just on this thread, I'm from Sydney, Australia as well and I am planning on attending a Steelers game on November 15th this year at Heinz Field VS the Bengals. When it gets closer i'm going to try and get tickets--- and I'm desperate to have a Steelers game day experience-- tailgating/gameday/celebration after winning  ... so any help would be appreciated.
I'm that desperate to see the Steelers live that I'm going to travel by bus from NYC to Pittsburgh because it is my lifelong dream to see a NFL game live and although I could go see Jags@Jets the same day, I'd rather make the most of my experience.

I flew over from London last year for the chargers and bengals games. For the chargers game I bought a ticket off ebay and it arrived in London a good month or so before the game, was legit and I got in with now issues. For the Bengals game I went down on the day and was given a ticket by someone for free just before kick-off it was an 8pm Thursday night game and the bengals sucked so not a hot ticket by any means!
This year I have bought all my tickets through Ticketmaster for face value when they went on sale and am going to collect them at the ground using will-call which is the only way you can buy tickets from ticketmaster at face value, this does however mean keeping an ear to the ground as to when they are going on sale!
Hope this helps
