For sure. I saw that DB pick it up and started running i and i heard the flushing of the season... I saw ben standing there but i had little hope. But he came through. I think he deserves the game ball, with or without that play i mean he played a GREAT game.

PEYTON WHO?

I agree, Michi. Ben deserves the game ball. He is the true leader of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Wonder what Peyton is now going to do during the off-season... Maybe star in a remake of Children of the Corn.

It's amazing when you think he had to ankle takle, banged up arms/hands and all, a starting corner running at full speed! Ben never ceases to amaze

I saw the whole season going down the drain. I'm talking about game over, wait til next year. But then there was Ben. Also give credit to Tuman cause that was great hustle by him also.

I honestly didn`t think anyone would catch him, he was running as if his wife was chasing him with a knife!

Then Ben came up huge. Cowher complimented Ben afterwards say" Ben is a great athlete"

Not many QB's would have had the presence to stay back and try and slow him down long enuff to make a play.

First Willie Williams has the tackle in 95. Now, Big Ben has the game saver in 2006. Both against Indy. Guess playing them brings out the greatness in the Steelers.

I have DirecTV rather than cable (including local channels) which has about a 5 second delay in receiving the broadcast over cable (something to do with the time required for the broadcast signal going from the ground to the satellite and then back to my dish). After the Steelers' sack that gave them first and goal on the two, I was on the phone prematurely celebrating the victory with a fellow Steelers fan when the person on the other end (who is getting the game 5 seconds ahead of me) suddenly shouts "Oh no!" and then tells me "your life is going to pass before your eyes" when Jerome fumbled.

While I ask what the h**l happened, I then see the fumble on my TV while the run back and the Ben/Tuman tackle was being described to me over the phone (followed by everything else leading up to the missed FG 5 seconds before I actually see it). It probably was my most excruciating moment in over 35 years of following the Steelers.

What a game - the last 5 minutes are as tense as any game I can recall. Hope they can get over it and regroup for next week - both the Broncos and Steelers have to be drained after emotional wins.

I have to say (because of the disgusting reffing) that was one of the best games I have ever seen, but thank you Ben. It was killing me watching Bettis beat himself up over that fumble. All I can say is "WOW, what a game"

hhmm, i saw an article saying he had THREE stitches...

Im thinking .... overdramatization!
