Obama isn't my favorite person but I'm thankful that moron who stole America is finally gone.

Which answers not a single one of those questions. What exactly did Bush steal? Keep in mind, Obama has rung up more debt (in substantially less time) and has enhanced the Patriot Act as well as continued funding of the war (though the funds/troops are now being redirected to Afghanny)

I cannot say Bush himself was behind the Election theivery of 2000, but he certainly benefitted from it. Not that I wanted Gore either...

Remember who is behind the Patriot Act to begin with. I dont seem tp remember all of the Bush backers crying about it a few short years ago.

It's the truth. People in the country cannot stand a non-white president. There... I said it and will stand by it.

I could care less about the color of a man's skin. I'm a Soldier. White, Black, Yellow, we all bleed the same... So don't accuse me of being a racist (which is exactly what you are doing.)

It's not the Patriot Act that bothers me. It's how hard he campaigned against it...and then, once he got into office, decided to expand upon it. Whatever your stand is on issues...I can respectfully disagree. But I have no respect for a liar.

The stolen election? HAHAHAHA Gore tried to discount the votes of hundres of thousands of deployed Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines. As if it's our fault that we're deployed. We don't fight Soldier's wars. We fight politicians wars...because it's the politicians who determine where and when we fight.

A lot of this is hyperbole, although I certainly understand the premise, and agree with it to a certain extent. The media HATED GWB and took every available attempt possible to impale him on the tips of their pop media pseudo-journalist spears. And that same media is very much in love with Obamie and all he stands for...but I digress. I'm just picking one particular topic that REALLY lights me up...

I didn't like the broad powers the Patriot Act took up much to begin with, but I also wasn't much worried about it being abused.

I remember the left telling us that we were all going to be "disappeared" in some kind of evil Orwellian nightmare totalitarian state under Bush, all of which was complete bullshit.

But what I am seeing is a left which, at the time, was horrified with all the power the government suddenly gained, that now seems completely enamored of that same power now that THEY wield it completely and totally.

How ironic. How hypocritical.

That is an insult and I'm quite shocked that you would actually post something like that.

Like xfl2001fan - I could care less what color our President is, as long as his heart bleeds red, white and blue. Imho - any leader who abhors and degrades his own country to further his own agenda - the country he professes to love - is a traitor, a coward and has a heart as black as coal.

You Obama supporters, be honest now. Read the
> following and tell me how you would have reacted:

> If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the
> Special Olympics, would you have approved? Yeah, actually. I didn't like to too much in principle, but still laughed. I don't know, my mom's a special ed teacher and I've helped her on numerous occasions, jokes like these just never really bothered me, or her.

> If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod
> containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought
> this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
I actually would've gotten a kick out of it. Linky on what was on the iPod though?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia,
> would you have approved? Certainly, he kissed him, yes I know there's a difference, but neither bother me.

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to
> the non-existent "Austrian language," would you
> have brushed it off as a minor slip? Yep.

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of
> advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current on
> their income taxes, would you have approved? This, as I have with President Obama, would've bothered me.

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to
> refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the
> Mexican ambassador when it was the fourth of May (Cuatro de Mayo),
> and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you
> have winced in embarrassment? I've winced in embarassment over that, and similar instanes for Former President Bush.
> If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force
> One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet
> fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic,
> would you have wondered whether they actually
> "get" what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a
> teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press
> conference, would you have laughed and said this is more
> proof of how inept he is on his own and is really
> controlled by smarter men behind the scenes? Caldera's actually a competent man, and I've met him on multiple occasions. He should've been tossed for what he did and it's good he's gone, since it was incredibly stupid. But the hiring of him wasn't unfounded.

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood
> victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or
> made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made
> into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism
> and incompetence? Really? You're making this analogy? Apples and oranges I'm afraid, but something for another thread.

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt,
> which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in
> one year, would you have approved? Horridly misleading. Bush did pretty well with his impact on the debt as well, and the Market and it's flux is usually exponential, so the "two centures" bit is just window dressing that really makes me want to disagree with you, because of a silly statement.

> If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement
> plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a
> majority stake in GM, would you have approved? I'd have probably thought I was dead at first.

If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of
> dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you
> have approved? Probably, call me crazy, but Laura ain't half bad.
>
>
> So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes

More brilliant and impressive than the dogma my friend. :)

Wait, what? So basically, what you are saying is that Obama should be completely exempt from criticism because of the color of his skin? Really? Maybe I should run for public office then. I mean hell, if I'm going to get a free pass to do what I want because I'm black, I'd make sure to take FULL advantage of it.

:coffee:

It's 2009 for God's sake. Don't you think it's time to move away from this kind of thinking? How does it POSSIBLY help race relations?

After 9/11 the Democrat zealots blamed Bush. While they were saying he's accountable for our security, the Republican zealots were saying that Bush wasn't in office long enough to be accountable for 9/11 and that Clinton was to blame(but not the Republican congress of the time).

Fast forward to now. The economy is all messed up. The same Democrats who were saying Bush was in office long enough to take the heat for 9/11, are now saying that Obama hasn't been around long enough to take the heat for our economy. They blame the previous administration(but NOT the democratic congress of the time). Likewise, Republicans who once said 9/11 should be blamed on the previous administration and that Bush wasn't in office long enough to take any heat for it, are now saying Obama HAS been around long enough to take the heat for the economy and that the previous administration should NOT be accountable for the current economic situation. They're all a bunch of hipocrites.

Political zealots are the problem in America. They're a bunch of hipocrites who do little more than repeat everything that comes out of the mouths of the Glen Becks, Olbermans, Limbaughs, and Moores(not to mention the corresponding media outlets). It keeps the sheep polarized. As long as people remain polarized along party lines they'll only vote for Dems or Reps, and this country will never see the rise of a party that works in the interest of it's CITIZENS. Most of us know of the Ben Franklin quote, "A republic, madame, if you can keep it." I don't believe we've kept it tbh. We gave it to two parties who polarize us on the front stage, and get fat together while laughing at us, on the back stage.
