The following is from the description box on Youtube for this video:

This is what actually happened at the event. The news only showed the woman being escorted away by the police. What happened was the women walked in with signs, the crowd booed and yelled at the women. The women rolled up their posters and put them down. A photographer/reporter approached the woman on the end and wanted to see what the poster was. As the woman went to show the photographer/reporter what the poster was, a man from the bleachers stood up and snatched the poster from the woman and photographer/reporter. As the woman went to retrieve her poster the police stepped in and escorted the woman and the man from the building.

The poster was not of Obama, it was not pro health care, the poster that was taken from the woman and wrinkled up into a ball was of Rosa Parks.

National news coverage only showed the woman being escorted from the forum and left out the fact that it was the man who started the incident. Not to mention it was a poster of Rosa Parks.

You Republicans are starting to look like you have the people skills of a cactus.

Wow... Oh No....

The Republicans are starting to act like...like...like... Democrats!!

And the democrats don't like it.

I said this as soon as the election was over, turnabout is fair play, and after the last eight years of what was done to George Bush, it is going to get ugly.

You're a damned hypocrite and your hypocrisy makes me want to vomit.

This coming from the party who's Senator Dingle tells a man and his cerebal palsey son to go sit down.

This coming from the side of Code Pink, Acorn, SEIU. SEIU who I should point out
pummeled a black gentleman oustside a town hall meeting when he was handing out "don't tread on me" flags.

This coming from the party of Nancy Pelosi...who after being silent for years while the aforementioned Code Pink pulled some very classless acts, teams up with another Lib senator to write an op-ed peace on how un-American we are for asking our representaves to listen to us and answer questions. So far, has there been any incidents of red finger paint being put in the face of these senators ? Or yelling out inside actual senate hearings where a secretary of state is giving testimony ? Oh wait, those are the classy acts of Code Pink reserved to "have your voice heard" by Condy Rice. We just wave invisible swastikas that oddly ARE able to be seen by Ms Pelosi.

Hey little girl who asked that nice Mr President such a well thought out question about those mean things on the signs of those ugly Republicans, aren't you the daughter of one of Obamas biggest campaign contributors ?

Nah, cause such tactics would be classless.

1. Bill Maher is the biggest piece of dirt walking the planet. I honestly wish he'd get anal cancer and die. A slow painful death.

2. You might not cheer them, but you DAMN SURE don't speak out against them. Why is that, because they're the ones doing your dirty work for you. While Code Pink, MoveOn, and others spread the manure, you and your ultralib buddies.

My mom went through the same thing while my dad was in Viet Nam, late 60s. With all us kids there to see it, a bunch of "classy" hippie lib types flpped her off 'cause of the Marine Corp parking decals on our car. Can you imagine being with your kids, all 8 yrs of age or younger, going grocery shopping and being flipped off and yelled at? Hearing your husband (whom you're worred sick about) called all sorts of nasty things in front of the kids that havn't seen him in probably 6 mos?

By the way...if the ones that flipped off my mom are reading this, this is for you :fingers:

Seeing as I work for a major university, I can say with confidence that a LOT of Democrats/liberals cheer and glorify those kinds of people. Add up all of the liberals on all of the major college campuses in the country, and, well, you do the math. And that's without adding in all of the ones who DON'T attend/work for universities.

The bottom line is, once again, if you're going to point your fickle finger at Republicans, it might be a good idea to clean up your own back yard first.

These days, I'm almost ashamed to call myself a Democrat. People like you have taken over the party and it makes me sick.

Well, I wouldn't quite go THAT far, but I am disappointed that the far leftists have hijacked the party. It's why I'm strongly considering going back to being an independent (I won't join the Republicans either, for reasons I mentioned in another thread). I'm quite tired of having my voice drowned out just because I don't tow the party line.

If people would quit electing polarizing figures (read: extreme leftists/righties), quit listening to people like Michael Moore, Keith Olbermann, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck, and our politicians stop with the partisan bickering and start coming up with policies that make sense, then maybe the bickering would end.

BTW, I too am a Democrat.

Both sides of the fence are equally at fault for showing lack of class, but as a converted GOP'er, I can come out and admit it, unlike most Libs who want to dish it out and shove it up the ass and down the throat of Repubs without taking a look at their own reflection in the mirror. This lack of class by both parties didn't just begin with The Savior being elected - that ugliness has been around for eons. I'm also starting to see that same lack of class in some independents, as well.

What makes me want to vomit is seeing a throng of people (mostly Demos from my own experiences) at a pro-abortion rally waving their signs promoting the death of innocent babies. :puke:

But now a few things happen to President Obama and the uberlibs start throwing the race card and saying they want all the partisan attacks to stop. Well it's too late libs. The BDs are on to you. Pretty soon you'll be focred to answer to the real fiscal conservatives within your own party. The spend and tax express is pulling to it's final stop without any of your socialist platform being fulfilled.

You know, (and I NEVER thought I would hear my self say this...well, see myself type this) if the democrats came out pro-life and financially conservative, with how far left the GOP has moved, I could see myself voting democrat (as long as they were supporting the military as well, instead of balancing the budget on the back of the military).

That isn't because I am a fan of democrats... that is because I am a true conservative, and there just is no party for me anymore. The GOP is WAY too liberal, and the dems have fallen off the edge with socialist programs.

Let an old blue-dog democrat run and just see how much this country would come back together. I honestly think that Lieberman should have refused to caucaus with the dems and ran as an independent in the elections. Against McCain, there is about a 50/50 chance he would have gotten my vote.

The Dems as a party will NEVER come out as pro-life. It goes against everything the base stands for. They want abortion on demand in a no fault world. If you hold your breath waiting for this to happen, you'll pass out.

Second, the Dems will never support the military the way that most Americans think they need supported. Again, this goes against everything the base stands for. Not that the Repubs have done a bang up job in the last 8 years mind you. But the Dems would rather young people join AmeriCorps, City Year, ACORN, and other organizations that they can control rather than the military that answers to a higher legal and ethical authority.

here's some of that southern GOP class...

State GOP staffer sends racist image of Obama.
Over the weekend, a GOP official in South Carolina posted a comment to Facebook comparing Michelle Obama to an escaped gorilla. Now, in a second instance of Republicans playing the race card against the Obamas, Wonkette notes that a racist e-mail was sent out by a legislative staffer for Tennessee GOP state senator Diane Black. The staffer, Sherri Goforth, e-mailed this composite picture of the country’s 44 presidents, which represents President Obama with only a set of eyes:

http://img194.imageshack.us/img194/6325/44presidents1.jpg (http://img194.imageshack.us/i/44presidents1.jpg/)

Nashville Is Talking asked Goforth about the e-mail:

When I asked her if she understood the controversial nature of the photo, Goforth would only say she felt very bad about accidentally sending it to the wrong list. When I gave her a second chance to address the controversial nature of the email, she again repeated that she only felt bad about sending it to the wrong list of people.

“I went on the wrong email and I inadvertently hit the wrong button,” Goforth told NIT. “I’m very sick about it, and it’s one of those things I can’t change or take back.”

Once again, we can pick anecdotal cases of classlessness in both parties. The fact of the matter remains, class is something that has been lost in our society, for conversation, from decorum, from politics, and from the way individuals interact. To pin more or less classlessness on one party is simply to be blind, IMO

It has nothing to do with who won or lost, just that too many people are too invested in their political parties on this board now.

It has nothing to do with political parties. X and I have already said we're Dems and we have legit concerns about the direction of the country. It's not about race either because X is black. This is about the direction we're headed in. It's about people burying their heads in the sand. This is about lies and half truths. This is about people spending 8 years acting one way and then getting pissed when someone takes a page from their playbook.

But at the end of the day, this is about the Democratic process being hijacked. This is about anger at Town Halls being dimsissed as the work of operatives. This is about academics and intellectuals thinking they know what's best for America.

Why can't people see that?

I'm not assuming anything. I'm drawing conclusions from what he's written, both now and since I've been hanging around here. This is a guy who gleefully made fun of a recovery alcoholic because he has a different opinion. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't know many people who do that.

Speaking for myself... While Tony can be a complete ass when it comes to politics (which one of us can't?) I can say that from both public and private conversations with Tony, you are dead wrong.

I don't defend Tony much on the side of politics, because I think he isn't logical in his positions and arguments (see my tongue in cheek "polititony" remarks). However, J Dogg, you are WAY off the mark here.

So let me ask you this. When an anti-war protester spat on my wife and told her that her husband was a baby killer and told my kids that I was going to burn in hell, was that classy?

You're a damned hypocrite and your hypocrisy makes me want to vomit.

No the women should have been, well, politely and militarily removed for her defamation of a soldier's family!

Hate the war, but never hate the soldier or their family. It's their sacrifice that gives us all the freedoms to have these discussions. Any other country, could have easily gotten rid of such conversation and/or the protestor (just ask those in Iran)

But that's another rant!

I won't speak for anyone else, as assumption is only correct 50% of the time, but speaking for myself - I don't feel that way. While admittedly, I am not impressed thus far with this administration and believed very strongly before the election (and continue to believe) that Obaaaama is unqualified, unfit and a one and done'r, the people (well - those who were bamboozled anyway :wink) spoke and The Savior beat my candidate. Nothing shady or corrupt about it. I won't like it (from what I've seen thus far) and I'll continue to voice my dissention, but I'll get through these next 3 years and 6 months and keep on keepin' on regardless.

it wasnt too difficult for most to have their finger on the pulse and it was the republican white house pumpin the blood, and the GOP tripping over themselves during the campaign.

Incorrecto, my dear hipcheese. It was the Demos, with Obaaaama as their poster child, feeding voters that creme de la bullshit pie by the shovels full which they ate up like it was their last meal. I gotta hand it to 'em - they pimped their candidate well and pulled the wool over the voters' eyes.

I have many friends who pulled the Obaaama lever on election day - some because they voted party lines and some because they were misled who are now B & M'ing up a storm at the actions (and mainly inactions) of this administration. I simply smile and use revs' infamous line - "don't blame me - I voted for McCain".:flap: Shuts 'em up real quick.

I think one of the main issues for me re: Obamacare was the alacrity at which they were pushing the bill through. I would expect a careful thought out debate, however it seemed they invited the panic by attempting to railroad it.

I'm right with you on the coverage for illegals though. I'd like 1 person to stand up and say, "No, I ill not give care to illegals." No one has the balls to do that on the Dem side. Not sure any Repubs do either.

1. you were unimformed and ingnorant to the facts...which is what you accuse of obama supporters of, which makes you a hypocrite
2 your a hypocrite towing the party line
3 all of the above..

Wasn't ducking the question, just using a little humor to ease you into what we're in store for for the next three and half years. It ain't gonna be pretty.

Here's a few of the points of contention I had with Bush. I think beginning the bail outs was not the wisest thing for Bush to do. I think Bush should have done more to push legislation to secure the borders and deport illegals. I wish he'd focused in on Afghanastan and getting OBL, but I'm not gonna cry over a deposed murderous dictator from Iraq being taken down. Now that Obama has apparently turned up the heat in Afghanastan, I wish him well in that endeavor and hope we finally get the SOB. I'll cheer as loudly as anyone if it happens under Obamas watch and give credit where credit is due.

I won't lie, I liked Dubya overall. But you see, I look at more than policies alone. I think one of the greatest qualities in a United States President is pride in this country and it's people. I think it's very important how he represents us abroad. For one thing, when foreign countries look at our President, they see either a wimp or somone not to be F'd with. I was very proud to watch Bush stand before the U.N. and remind them that we ARE a sovereign nation, and tell them "while we come asking for a resolution from the U.N., if you decide not to give us one, it won't keep us from acting in our own best Interest "....I'm paraphrasing of course. It's been a while since a U.S. President showed that kind of courage. Compare that to Obamas "AMERICA APOLOGIZES 2009 WORLD TOUR". Compare that to Obama standing with a foreign leader in Mexico saying that those who were opposing his healthcare plan "back home" were "scared of the boogeyman". Did you once hear of Bush ridiculing the American people while standing on foreign soil in front of foreign leaders, dignitaries and the press ? Did you once hear him talk down his detractors "back home" while in a Global spotlight ? Not on your life.

As for lies and deception, you are being lied to and deceived right now by Obama. He says he's not going to remove the "private option". But that doesn't match up with what he's been saying the last 5 years. Ya might wanna look into that.

See, here is where we have fundamental disagreements. I don't think that the federal govt. SHOULD be funding education and local aid. I think the local and state govts. should be funding those. THe less money to the fed. govt., the less powerful the fed. govt. is.

Furthermore, You DONT have friends at that level of govt. You give money to Iraq in the 80's, not because you like them, but because between Iraq and Iran, they are the lessor of two evils. You support Afganistan in the 80's not because you like or agree with them, but because by supporting them, you learn more about your enemy, the USSR, more about their helicopters, small squad tactics, etc.

Statecraft is an entirely different ballgame, and you have to pay to play.

I remember a few years ago President Bush came here to Parkersburg for a rally. Not sure what it was about but it was held at my HS Alma Mater. Anyways I was working across the street at a pizza joint and the protestors were from as far away as California. There was a line about 4 miles long of protestors and on the other side of the street there was pro bush supporters. There was even a van painted pink and pulling a trailor that was decorated as a piggy pank. Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream paid for the van. Now I wasnt a Bush supporter but where is that kinda stuff now? Obama has spent more money then Bush did. I complained about Bush and I complain about Obama. Im a Independent. It dosent matter the letter after your name. We should all be able to agree on fundamental principles. Im so tired of being called a racist because I dont support or like Obama. I have a Impeach Obama bumper sticker on my truck and my wifes car. I went to Charleston Tuesday and was confronted by a man that had a anti Bush sticker and a Obama 08 as well. He wanted to tell me about how bad Bush was. I let him talk and afterwards I said take off the blinders and tell me how bad of a job Obama has done. He then told me not to change the subject and told me that because Im white I couldnt accept a black man as my leader.

Back to the topic at hand, we could go back and forth all day long posting YouTube videos of this party or that party acting up...believe me, there is an INEXHAUSTIBLE SUPPLY OF THEM! The jackassery being displayed by both sides, especially on this powder keg of an issue is disgusting.

The bottom line is this: Healthcare is as polarizing an issue as I've ever seen. I have serious reservations about ANYTHING being done about it now, which is too bad because we do need some reforms, mostly along the lines of the the system of paying/billing/pricing. That may never get done now because the first bills set forth sucked, and all the subsequent compromises suck worse and move us FURTHER from what we need.

Whay Obama wanted (single payer, everyone covered) is unacceptable to all but the furthest fringy MOONBATS. What the GOP WAS offering (staus quo) is equally unacceptable. I truly hope we can find some middle ground and make some common-sense changes that benefit all of us before the country tears itself apart.

This isn't hasn't even come close to generating the level of animosity or violence that abortion has.

As the whole racist thing is a crutch for the weak minded idiots out there. I'm in the military. My current supervisor is black. I've had black superintendents, NCOICs, OICs, and Commanders.

I'd LOVE for someone to play that tired race card with me.

Shouldn't a fundamental principle be respecting the Constitution, including the part that says impeachment is for high crimes and misdemeanors (as opposed to because you don't support his policies)?

Oh and I almost forgot, my role model in the military is a black man. My first CMsgt. He's the measuring stick I use to see where I am in my life and career.

I, too, am in the military and just had a fellow Soldier use the race card on me. I was a bit amazed (and very much angered) over the whole episode. My current supervisor is black and I work with a large contingent of black supply sergeants in another unit (in the same building.) First time in over 10 years that someone has ever attempted it on me. His claim was as ridiculous as the first one.

Abortion is different: For all the moral posturing by both sides, Roe v Wade is never actually going to be overturned.

Healthcare reform actually has a chance to get some traction.

Did you talk about the incident with your supervisor?

friends that have to be "bought" aren't really friends. , and how much return, do you think we get on these "investments" ? i seem to recall a few years ago we gave mexico a big chunk of change "to stimulate thier economy" and provide jobs to the mexican people. the reasoning our elected liars gave was if they had jobs there, they wouldn't come here...:toofunny: well in the end we'll get the last laugh, because there won't be any jobs here...maybe thats the new strategy.
but anywho...shouldn't the US citizens be the biggest interest to this country? it sure don't seem like it is. they have no problem handing our money over to other countries, but yet cut funding for education and aid programs here to trim the budget...sorry but thats just freakin wrong !!!

I think preacher handled the "foreign aid" question fairly well, but of course it's a case by case basis. Much to long to discuss on the board. I agree, MOP, that it's hard to watch those tax dollars go to something that doesn't benefiet the American people. So tell me which is more expedient...Sending aid $$$ to foreign countries whose alliance benefiets America or studying the shitting and mating habits of the silverback red assed baboon in the middle western southern region of Africa ?
