Can't get the game, keeping up on it on NFL Scores.
Looked like Ben is pretty sharp, and Ward is the same. How does the rest of the team look?

Harrison and the D are still scary.

Sitting in the same boat Texas - I think this is how I am going to be viewing most games this year. Sounds like Sweed is going OK.

ugh the penalties are disturbing.............it makes me think those rumors about slacking during training camp had some truth to them

We'll be smashed into the ground if we play the Titans with mental mistakes like ones seen in the 1st qrt

Thankfully it looked like they realized it and focused toward the end

This defense is going to be really, really good. Timmons and Gay will bring youth and speed, and will make us better than last year, IMO.

The offense will be better for all the reasons mentioned above.

The ST's will be better because of Sep and Logan.

Barring major injury, we are absolutely a contender coming into this season and I see no reason why we can't win it all again...barring injury...

I wonder if Pottsie will get more sacks this year? We talk alot about what a great pass rusher Timmons is, but what doesn't get a lot of talk is how fast he is running in coverage. That might open up Farrior to blitz more.

With Hines aging, Ben really needs Sweed to take that next step to continue to be successful. That or the Steelers can shell some cash out for a bigtime WR here in a year or two but we know that isn't going to happen.

I just don't want to see any of this guys years wasted because with the style he plays, you just can't be sure how many years that will be.

As the real season approaches, reality sets in, and the dream of a guy like Redman becoming the starting RB and other silly observations go by the wayside...BUT we have seen some young/new guys make the best of their opportunity.

I'm not sure about Summers or Redman, but I KNOW Mendenhall is a legit 1st rd RB and deserves to share carries. I don't know who the 4 and 5 WR will be, but Sweed has definitely stepped up. I'm not sure how the OL shakes out after injuries, but Legursky and Foster have looked good, and I suspect the final product we put on the field this year will be a vast upgrade over last.

We should be really, really good this year, like maybe 14 wins good...

After Sweed's first big reception Hines jumped up on Sweed to congratulate him, and in the Superbowl DVD you see Hines pretty much tutor Sweed the whole game.

They know the expectation on Sweed, and it's nice to see the crowd go wild when he catches a ball and Hines motivate him like he does, I think he'll be a star.

He isn't like Plax, he isn't some superstar, he was humbled his first year and I think that'll shape him into much more of a man than Plax ever was.

OK, who wants to get live Bills updates texted to your cell phone? Powered by Verizon.

If I got a text about Buffalo Bills news I would throw my phone against the wall.

Redman is good for 1 yard up the middle. Mendy, Parker, and Moore can handle the rest of the running game.

How many carries did Redman have? He looked like a player on punishment for running his mouth about how good he was.

He may not make the team, but I like him. I'd like to see him play with some better blocking and in situations where the other team doesnt know we're going to kill the clock.

Good game Steelers.

Not a bad "dress rehearsal" game. Still got some things to tighten up (namely pre-snap penalties), but that's to be expected. I hope to God Timmon's ankle injury isn't serious. :hope:

Thanks to Justin tv i saw every play.

THAT was pretty much a perfect preseason game. Evaluation time.

Fox looked good. Logan better make this team.

Gotta be happy with the overall team play. Putting points on the board isn't a huge concern at this point. Looking polished at positions of weakness is. I'm not seeing a ton of weakness outside of the offensive line but we've been down that road before. They have been playing OK at least.

It's relative though...like saying "This is the best shit sandwich I've ever eaten".
I wouldn't know, I've never eaten one.

I'm watching it again myself - nice to watch it and not have the display freeze up every 3-5 seconds.

:chuckle:

I just finished doing that myself. Fox really did look impressive.

I am waiting for my wife to go to bed, and I am going to play the game again, breaking down every offensive play again.
