Awe man. I can't believe he's gone. Definitely a product of my youth. Ana (my fiancee) is going to be crushed as she loved him.

RIP PS.

RIP. He put up a valiant fight.

I still get out the old North and South mini series where he played Orrie Main.

My personal favorites. Although, I have to admit that for a chic-flik, Ghost was pretty darn good.

OMG I'm absolutely sick hearing this. This guy fought his illness soooo hard and I really believed he had a chance of beating it.

:tombstone: Patrick - we'll miss you.

Now AMC will be inundated with his movies. Time to turn on Channel 48 regularly for some great movies! RIP

Exactly... Married to his wife for 34 years. Definitely not one of the "typicals."

RED DAWN is one of my all time favorites... RIP

On a side note: I went to an 80's party two weeks ago. One of my friends found a bag in his closet (sort of like a time capsule) with old shirts, trinkets and one very old National Enquirerer in it.

Madonna and Sean Penn were still together (on the cover) and an article inside was talking about how "Red Dawn was the most violent movie to date."

Is that nuts or what?

Yeah, it is - I remember they shot that movie in a town I lived in as a kid, and when it came out, it was supposedly way too violent for kids (that didn't stop anyone). I don't remember thinking it was that violent though. I was just excited to see my entire town blow up and one of the teachers at my school get "shot" in the opening sequence. Swayze ended up buying a cabin and living there part time for a long time. I've heard some crazy stories - though probably best left unsaid since he just passed away.
