We came into the game nervous but excited
As usual the underdog - forever being slighted
If you missed the game and just saw the score
You'd think we got lucky but it was so much more
An old fashioned butt whipping for 3 quarters plus
And no one thought we could do it but us
Total domination right from the get go
And no one guessed we would come out and throw
Peyton ran around the field dazed and confused
And by our defensive line he was totally abused
For 54 minutes the game went our way
Then with 5:26 left came the controversial play
Troy intercepted or so we all thought
Unfortunately the refs said he did not
We had to beat 2 teams to win this fight
The Indianapolis Colts and those wearing black and white
These refs left a lot to be desired
Most of us all think they should be fired
Then Jerome did something so very rare
Fumbling the ball - what a nightmare
Next thing you know - Harper is running down the field
Colts fans thought they had a victory sealed
Then out of nowhere Roethlisberger came
To make "The Tackle" that would save the game
Jerome wasn't going out like that if our guys had anything to say
In the endzone Bryant McFadden broke up the next play
All they had left was to line up for a kick
What happened next would make the Indy fans sick
Vanderjagt shanked it right - it wasn't even close
It was well deserved karma and they got a good dose
We won it - it's over - now for Denver we must prepare
To go to Invesco and play in thin air
Denver is tough - Pittsburgh is too
Pressure Jake Plummer we know what he can do
60 more minutes is all that separates us
From a Superbowl game in the hometown of the Bus
