Sproles.... 5'6, 181 lbs ..... Time in the 40 yd dash: 4.5 secs
Logan.... 5'6, 180 lbs ..... Time in the 40 yd dash: 4.38 secs

Sproles avg. 5.4 yds per carry in 2008
Logan avg. 7.3 yds per carry in 2008 (in Canada)

On February 18, 2009, the Chargers placed their Franchise tag on Sproles. He signed the tender on April 28, 2009, which is worth $6.621 million.

Logan.... still trying to prove himself to "really " make the team.

I think Logan should get "Some" kind of opportunity at the RB position sooner than later.
"Maybe" he should be considered as Parker's replacement should his performance continue to go south....
But, pound for pound, I think Logan is a better deal than Darren Sproles......

Back when Logan first came on the scene i made the comparison that Logan was our Sproles....while i still think he CAN be...he does have a little ways to go before he is better than Sproles. Sproles has been around the NFL longer and has done more....until Logan does some more/etc...then he is not a better player than Sproles...money wise...yeah we have the better deal, haha.

I would like to see Logan used on some screens and reverses.

My thought once they signed Logan was that if he makes the team, that he will eventually be the replacement 3rd down RB when Moore leaves.

This is the final year of Parkers contract. Next year is the final year of both Moore and Logans contract. I can see 2011 season being Mendenhall, Summers, and maybe Ben Tate from Auburn.

wow im surprised Sproles' 40 yard time is only 4.5. Proves how irrelevant stats can be

I'd love to see what he can do on a reverse....

That and see what happens on one of those little check down swing pass's. He's small enough he could sneak out there and be wide open.

I won't say Logan is a better deal than Sproles until Logan actually contributes on offense. Sproles is great at screens/catching the football, and Logan hasn't proven to me that he's anything beyond a good return man.

Actually I could see that very much happening. Although I would not be surprised to see Moore resigned for 2-3 more years once his contract is done. My only concern with Logan being the 3rd down back would be his blocking ability.

We totally need a better nickname than "Joystick" for Logan...so unoriginal.
