Not enough to pick us to win any game in the postseason ahead of time. during the season you never saw crap about a Steeler player or coach on a talk show, espn special, radio interview..now they're everywhere crawling out of the woodwork to get the black n gold on the air and out in the public eye.

I heard El on espn radio this morning on mike and mike.

So let em keep not picking us to win this game, I'd rather have it that way... this way saying I told ya so is that much sweeter.

Steelers have been in the media a lot this week. Yesterday Bill Cowher was on NFL Total Access. Randle El on Mike and Mike today. Cowher to be on there tomorrow. Joey Porter on Best Damn Sports Show Period. Chris Gardocki was on Totally Football. Ben was on ESPN Sportscenter. It's all good I suppose. Nice to see them and get more Steelers fix before Sunday.

Bill Cowher and Ben Roethlisberger will be on Mike and Mike today. Mike and Mike aren't on ESPN 2 though incase you wanted to catch them that way. Right now there is tennis on there. So tune into your local ESPN Radio station

*Edit* they just replayed the ESPN Sportscenter interview with Ben.

where are all the denver players during all of this? i have seen the media saturated with steelers players and stories all week like they already like its media week leading up to the superbowl. its obvioust they are the media darlings and the steelers are looking awefully happy like they have accomplished something.

are the denver players feeling disrespected? slighted? ignored? i really dont like what is going on but even cowher is playing along. has shanahan and their players just denied media requests? it could be a smart ploy on his part to let the steelers heads swell while the broncos intercept the "no respect" ball that gets passed around during the playoffs.

the media whoring continues. jerome bettis coming up on PTI. shouldnt these guys get some practice or gamefilm study in sometime this week? where are the broncos?

this is really giving me an uneasy feeling. theyve spent half of this week talking about last weeks game.

got focus??????

(jeeze...5 minutes with jerome bettis and denver is mentionned once with 20 seconds left) "would he do anything different if asked to carry the ball this week in the same situation"? answer "no".

I share that same observation with you tony and I don't like the vibe I'm getting going into the weekend.

The Steelers have been all smiles and giggles this past week and if anyone person on that team thinks they have "Arrived" because of what they did against Indy then they will get and deserve a good Ass-Beating against the Broncos.

honestly i dont think they need any extra motivation to win but when players like porter and foote come out and say they play better when theyre pissed and its personal, i get a little worried when theyre all smiles. maybe theyre just playing it close to the vest. after all like joey said he was shot in the ass in denver:sofunny:

but you know shanahan is telling his team to watch all the steelers in the media, how smug they are and happy to defeat the colts and reminding his players that the steelers havent done crap yet. he will be telling his players that the steelers and media are overlooking the broncos. what has worked so well to motivate and fire up the steelers will be the same kool-aide the broncos are drinking.

Everyone needs to relax...there are only four teams left playing so of course they are all getting increased media coverage. I have seem Jake Delhomme ten times in the past hour on the NFL Network...and the Broncos are getting coverage. The biggest "feel good" story is Bettis, though and the Networks are jumping on that since the Manning-Brady duel shit the bed.

Still people picking against our Steelers and saying they can't get it done. So hopefully they see it and keep the chip on their shoulder.

I dont see any reason at all why the Steelers cant get it done against the Bronco's.

I know the Broncos made big plays when it counted - but the Steelers totally owned the Colts for 95% of their game - the only surprise was that the Colts were as close as they were!

If it's about motivation, it's a no-brainer.

Firstly there's the Bettis factor - you know every member of the Steeler organisation wants to send Jerome off with a ring, and that's a powerful motivator. Secondly there's the fact that the majority of the 'experts' are still picking the Broncos - All Cowher has to do is post some of the picks up in the locker room and point out that they're still considered underdogs. Finally the Steelers have nothing to lose - the home field advantage, the better season's performance, the home 9-0 record all place the pressure to win on the Bronco's. Denver know this, which is why they have spent all week playing down home-field advantage.

I agree LITP. I know Plummer is more mobile than Manning, but LeBeau had an excellent plan and I believe he will do the same this week. Plus the Steelers players are playing inspired with so much heart. They want to get themselves there, but want to get Bettis there.

Yep, every week, everybody says.. ' the bengals are hot right now, andthey are hungary, I like the bengals in this game".... uumm yeah how'd that work out for you... :chair:

or

"the colts owned the steelers in their first meeting, I think you'll see another game like the first one where peyton manning picks apart that secondary and the defense gives Ben fits" ... uumm yeah you were right on with that assessment :chair:

or

"jake is too mobile and lebeau cant get to him like he could to manning, and the denver defense is highly underrated and will shut down the steelers offense" .... yeah we'll see jerkoffs, we'll see :tt:

Just a little reminder don't forget Cowher has a press conference today. Starts at 2PM I'm pretty sure on NFL Network.

Give me a pocket passer like Ben any day of the week.

I really dont like QB's that specialise in roll-outs and scrambling - they always seem to be inferior game managers - a QB is there to throw the ball effectively, the rest is a bonus.

I have noticed Ben is just mobile enough to buy himself an extra few seconds to get the pass away - I also notice he isn't being panicked in resorting to the scramble too quickly this season and is staying alive and waiting for a WR to get open.

Even against the Pats at the start of the year he avoided 6/7 sacks just by being able to outrun the LB's and D-Line - very frustrating for a Pats fan to watch I have to say ha ha! :sofunny:

Anyway, I hope he doesnt try to force a pass whilst on the run - he done a couple against the Bengals and the Colts and got away with them - its all about getting a little bit of luck when you need it.

I'm not worried about the media coverage at all. The Steelers have good players with level heads compared to other NFL teams (for the most part that is)---I doubt very much that the increased attention is getting to their egos. They are still the underdog team and they still have a lot to play for. Let's get it done in Denver
