Whoa there Lambear (correct pronunciation) To say T.D. was an average player is a real slight. A more realistic analogy would be that the great Lambert would not be a "every down 'backer" in today's game. Terrell Davis, in my honest opinion, has been the closest thing to the great Walter Payton since he left the nfl. As with Walter, there is more to the story than stats do indicate. It should be pointed out that Terrell's stats were better than Gale Sayers. Terrell also has the record for most Consec. 100 yd. playoff games in history. Besides the stats., he was one tuff son of a gun (which I think steeler fans appreciate). Don't forget s.b. 32 when T.D. could not see because of a migraine, he still went into the game and drove headfirst into the line, while Elway bootlegged for the T.D.
