Good. Now maybe we can punch it in the endzone when we get down there.

Well unless he shows something big tomorrow night he will be released Monday and Eason will be back on the roster. With only 2 RBs healthy thats the only reason they made the move

Unless they are planning on bringing back Rashon Harris.

The Steelers activated rookie running back Isaac Redman from the practice squad today and released veteran defensive end Nick Eason, who hadn't dressed in the first three games.
Redman, undrafted out of Bowie State, signed with the Steelers after the draft because they were the only team to make an offer, and he exploded onto the scene during goal-line drills.

In the first goal-line series of camp, Redman scored two touchdowns on two carries -- the sixth and seventh attempts of the Steelers' 7-play event. This came on the heels of a fruitless performance by the first team, when Rashard Mendenhall was stopped twice and Frank Summers was stopped once. Summers scored against the second team with Redman as his fullback.

A week later, after Steelers Coach Mike Tomlin publicly questioned Redman's conditioning, he gave Redman all seven of the goal-line carries and Redman responded with five touchdowns.

Redman led the Steelers in preseason rushing with 145 yards, 37 carries (3.9 avg.) and 3 touchdowns. He was activated because of the turf toe injury to Willie Parker, and could be used as the Steelers' short-yardage back Sunday night against the San Diego Chargers.

The release of Eason opens up the possibility that the Steelers will add defensive lineman Sonny Harris in some capacity. The Steelers cut Harris after drafting him in the sixth round. The Steelers hoped to add him to their practice squad, but Harris was claimed by the Carolina Panthers, where he played in two games and made two tackles. The Panthers waived Harris this week.

That's the first thing I thought when I saw it was Eason who go let go. I was sad to see us lose Harris. Getting two viable DLs in one draft would be a steal, not to mention potentially fixing a HUGE age/depth problem.

Glad we got Redman back, although we should have cut Limas Peed

That's right. We should have cut a second round draft pick who is in the infancy of his career because in less than 20 ball thrown to him in games, he has dropped 2 big catches and a few others.

He HAS to be a bust, even though he has all the other physical tools.

looks like its not happening. (from same link in OP)-

RaShon Harris spurned an offer to sign with the Steelers' practice squad to instead sign with Carolina's.

I think Redman will have to make the most of it with this opertunity. If he don't then it will be back to the practice squad for him.

Before we proclaim our running problems solved perhaps we should want for him to get into the game.

Well now this also means that Ziggy Hood will be getting more snaps in the games in addition to Redman toting the rock.

OK "Red Zone," this is your shot. Let's see what you've got.

That dick. We tried to give him exactly the same deal first. And not only would he learn from the best here, he'd probably be up for a shot at starting relatively soon. Fine, go ahead and play for a losing team.
