How many yards must he accumulate against the soft Chargers run D for it to be considered impressive in your eyes? Obviously there is more to the game than yards, but as a barometer and if he is getting a full load of carries I think he needs that first 100 yard game to make me feel more comfortable.

I 'm thinking I would like to see:
115 yards, 1 TD, 0 F

he's gonna have to be good in blitz pick-up too. he could get ben killed.

Some good blocks and ~100 yards would please me. Even 80 yards with some punishing up the gut runs would make me a happy man :tt02:

All I want is for running plays to generally keep the drive going, not screw it up. We haven't had that in years. Can Mendenhall do that? I don't know. We'll see what happens. Should be interesting.

I just want the run game to extend the drive, not stall it out. If he can do that, I will be happy.

Pick up the 3rd and 1s would be nice.

i wanna see the 3rd and 1s get turned into 1st downs, 100yds on the ground, or good enough runs to keep drives alive, like, 3-5 1st down runs, and NO FUMBLES!!!

I do not want to see any spinning before he gets to the line of scrimmage! Pick up first down with his feet and his hands. Also pick up the Eric weddle blitzes would be icing on the cake

He better play pissed off and with something to prove!

it's one game. if this one game a against a soft D is supposed to impress then...

200+ yards with broken tackles, not running through huge holes like in college.

i think mendenhall could probably do that in the 1st half on us

the only good thing about my chargers D, is they make solid halftime adjustments

but they've shown a weakness for letting one pass play ruin a whole drive of theirs

they're not always that bright or disciplined, and they need to always work on their tackling as well

I don't care if he gets 0 yards as long as we win.

May I add downhill instead of like a ballet dancer. Run with some authority. Go out there and play like a crazed dog!

I would like to see 125 yards no turn overs. Also run the ball well when we need to put the game on ice. Although I'm counting on our passing game to put points up.

We have Redman for that :chuckle: No I think Mendenhall needs to have a 100 yards today and help Ben from getting killed that would be a good day. A touchdown would not hurt matters none either.

That is all I want to see with the running game. If Mendenhall can get 60 yards and maybe a few catches I will be happy with that production.
