128.9 QB rating tonight.

Control of the game. Control of the line. WOW. He has come of age.

Just what could he have done if Sweed had played? :chuckle:

This is Ben's team, no doubt about it.

Ben can't win games without his defense. He's overrated.

Ben was Ben tonight. Took over the game early and when needed he was clutch and best of all played smart. Nothing surprising from this guy. That's why he has 2 super bowl rings at age of 27!

hell of a game manager. I think we can call him elite. Except for Lamberts58 or whatever his avatar was.

Did you hear Collinsworthlessness say tonight he'd put Ben up there with Peyton and Brady?.

:tt02::tt03:

Pretty sure he said he'd place him fourth, behind tied for first Manning/Brady and #3 Drew Brees.

But then Collinsworth was a Bungle, so I guess we have to compensate for that bias :chuckle:

Ben was Ben tonight. This is pretty much Ben's team now. The 2009 Steelers are ruled by the Offense. The Defense is missing their mojo.

really hoping that Tomlin can fix that soon. he came in and fixed the D-backs, pushed us into number 1 in pass defense. but, Ben came to play and so did the O! loving seeing him have some time in the pocket! up next, Detroit!:tt:

Ben played a really good game last night he was really on his A game. He was hitting his receivers well and kept a moving in the pocket taking sacks away from the defense. There is no reason why he can't play like this week in and week out with the weapons he has.

He wouldn't have had the 128.9 rating with Sweed's drops for one.

ROFLMAO about that Sweed comment.

Ben maybe now this year will get some credit for how good he is.

Most importantly, Ben has ZERO roughing the passer calls that weren't even remotely really roughing the passer that he had to pretty much tell the ref to throw the flag for even though it was a complete bullshit call.

Ben was money all night with his passes. The entire offense looked like it wanted to prove something last night. Ben is simply amazing!

Coach took the handcuffs off and let him play ball. He plays the same way he played in college, except maybe a little smarter. Sure he doesn't have Manning's pedigree, whatever that means, be he can take a hit and doesn't look like a hillbilly. He also doesn't wear a dress of cry to the refs because his hair got messed.

If he keeps completing his passes at an almost 80% clip, he can wear his hair anyway he likes, IMO. Dude's been awesome this year so far, and is probably playing the position better at this point than anybody not named P. Manning or Brees.

Yep. It is very scary how well he has played.

I SO hope that our run game last night was a sign of things to come.

That and getting this Defense straightened out... will give us a BIG chance for a nice run for 3!!!

heres what is most impressive-

steelers controlled the ball at a 2:1 ratio.

they ran the ball about 5 times more than they passed.

their lead running back had nearly 30 carries and over 150 yds.

yet ben STILL had over 30 passing attempts and over 300 yards.

this game should be a sign of things to come when the offense is firing on all cylinders

playing a crap defense helps but now defenses will have to respect the threat of a running game and that certainly opens things up for ben (it seems he had atleast 2 wr's wide open on every completion).

The Defense is always good! The offense needs work, but they seen to be doing better, thanx to Mendenhall! I hope that it is a sign of good things to come for our offense!!
