IMO...going for it on 4th and inches on your side of the 40 when the games was still in doubt.

For me, it was the 4th and 1 when we were only up 14-0.

If a team can't make 4th and ONE INCH with a 6'5" 241lb QB behind the OL they deserve to lose.

Okay...it's still a bold call.

ya, the 4th and inches on our side of the field was a bold move, and one that paid off, if they didnt make it, wed be talkin about how horrible the steelers are

that was a good throw by memo...right above the heads of all the defenders

I think the boldest play was lining up to kick the Field Goal from 43 yards out with only 40 ticks left on the clock, I'd have ran the ball up the gut, given the ball back to the Chargers with 37 seconds and 0 time outs left on their own 30 yard line as opposed to risk missing the FG or god forbid having it blocked.

Anyway, that sealed the game.

I had been worried about Reed's confidence after the recent misses, and I'm sure Tomlin trusting him to make that kick, which was by no means short, couldn't have hurt.

IMHO, the field goal was great to re-gain Skippy's confidence, glad he made it and sealed the W.

I had no doubt he would make it. :tt03:

After MeMo threw the TD pass I was thinking "why did we waste showing that play in the 4th quarter of a 21 point game". As it turned out we still needed to pull a few tricks out of the playbook to hold onto the win.

Why not try for the field goal then? if they ran the ball up the gut then it only woulda put them back 4 or 5 yards further then if they missed the field goal....kicking the field goal wasnt a bold move it was the correct move

Exactly. That may have been one of the smarter moves Tomlin made . . . that and benching Mendy.

The only good that came out of blowing the lead was Reed kicking a 46 yarder in heinz field to seal the game. Im not one of those half full types either, I think it was huge for Reed to do that and it should help us later.

i had more confidence in Reed than our defense in the 4th quarter yesterday. the field goal was the way to go there.
