Hey all, Judge Smails here from DetroitBoard.com
(http://www.detroitboard.com)

Just wondered if there was anyone from Pitt coming to Detroit and tailgating for the game.

Our site will have a pretty big get together and I just wanted to extend an invite to you all.

Here is the map - http://www.detroittailgate.com/Maps/Images/2008_EasternMarket_LARGE.jpg - we will be in 3E.

Anyway, drop by the site and rub our nose in the proverbial poop, because obviously we can't smack talk this week :D

Cheers to a fun game this Sunday :tt03:

Thanks for the invite, I'll be at the game. Maybe I'll drop by and let you touch my Terrible Towel and for one brief moment you can feel the surge of success that flows through the fabled golden icon!

Then I will promptly wave it in the air in celebration of Steeler Nation!

When Tailgating in Detroit, a few suggestions:

-Pack heat...even though the area around the stadium looks like a post-apocalyptic movie, the few critters I HAVE seen scurrying around were none too savory.
-Walk around a little and check out all the empty, bombed out vacant lots. It looks like Beirut.
-Check out the old Tigers Stadium. The city has no money to tear it down, so it just sits there and is slowly rotting back into the ground. It DEFINITELY looks like something out of a George Romero movie...
-Take a moment to reflect that this City used to be the car making capitol of the Universe, back in the days when the US was THE World Economic power. Kind of sad, really...

I'll be driving over from Milwaukee... I've heard that there are lots around the Stadium that don't allow open flames/grills. Is Beaubien & Congress St. safe for grills?

'Ere we go. :tt02:
