Adam Caplan, of Scout.com, reports the New England Patriots have signed free-agent LB Bruce Davis (Steelers) to their practice squad.

Much to do about nothing.

Davis obviously didn't impress enough to earn a starting spot and I'm sure while they'll try to pick his brain - it's only the practice squad.

He'll eventually get cut, again!

That's the missing piece! The Pats* will now go 18-1 and win the Super Bowl...

Unless he can tell Davis the blocking schemes and plays of the teams that Davis will face ahead of time, this isn't happening.

Pats D has no depth at OLB...the guys there on the two-deep (Burgess and Bunta-Cain) suck worse than Davis...

Burgess was a good de for Oakland. Im sure Davis will find his potential now since he isnt under the dark cloud of playing by the rules.

But he was unable to make the transition to OLB...hence one of the reasons they picked Davis off our scrap heap...that and access to our defensive playbook.

does anyone have the number of how many ex-steelers players the Pats have signed in the last 15 years?

They must think he's the next Mike Vrabel

The Pats were trying to bring back Junior Seau because they have nothing at LB.

The Pats were trying to bring back Junior Seau because they have nothing at LB.

And with Davis and Seau they still have nothing at LB

You really think we gave Davis the whole playbook?

This is just a case of needing another LB body, since the Ravens plucked Prescott Burgess from the pats* PS. They needed a body with Ayanbadejo on IR.

I wouldn't be joking about this....

Darth Hoodie is always trying to gather intel on other teams, especially dominant teams that he feels could threaten his team in the post-season.

Buster Davis was in our system for 2 years. He never performed up to specs, but since we tried to train him to function in our current defensive system, you can bet he knows alot about us. And since we cut him, you can also bet that he will be more than willing to "fill in the blanks for BB".

You take away his videotapes, and he just tries to find another back door to gain inside knowlege about other teams and cheat.

Once a cheater, always a cheater....

With all the players the Pats* brought onto thier team from ours..it just goes to show one thing...

We would have won 5 SB's if WE resorted to cheating!

With Fred Taylor going in for ankle surgery today, the Steelers better watch the RBs on their practice squad.
