NFL from the sidelines

After hobnobbing around the NFL in the press boxes and sidelines, sports reporter Dale Lolley will let you know the insider scoop.

Who I like
This game is setting up perfectly for the Steelers.

Antoine Winfield, Minnesota's best cornerback, is doubtful to play with a sprained foot.

Percy Harvin, Minnesota's talented rookie return man/wide receiver, is questionable with a shoulder injury.

And Adrian Peterson, the best running back on the planet, has been slowed with an ankle injury.

The big thing, however, is Winfield's injury.

The Vikings' pass defense was 24th in the league with him in the lineup. It certainly won't be any better without him.

That's not good news against this Pittsburgh passing game.

Take the Steelers, 27-21

Troy Polamalu practiced Friday and will play, as if there was any doubt.

Yeppers - I think this one is going to be fairly close. I'd call it even but the Steelers are playing at home and that gives them the advantage in this game.

wow.

Who ever thought, that the biggest threat on the field, of all three phases of the game, of the run/pass aspects of the offense and defense . . .

That it would be an injury to an opposing team's CB that is the biggest handicap to them coming into a game against the Steelers.

Wow. Just wow.

The bad part about this is when we beat them all the so called experts will say we beat a Vikings team that was not running on a full tank. This is the nature of the NFL. If they beat us it has nothing to do with Smith being out. Double standard. WE will win and I believe we would if Winfield was healthy and playing.we are the better team.

Even if Winfield was out there, I truly believe that Ben puts up big numbers in the passing game.
