Minnesota Vikings Pro Bowl cornerback Antoine Winfield will miss Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers and is expected to miss four to six weeks with a foot injury, NFL sources told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports Winfield has a fractured right foot. The Vikings are encouraged, however, because the the injury is not a lisfranc injury, which could have sidelined Winfield longer, sources told Mortensen.

Winfield was injured last Sunday against Baltimore and did not practice all week. Benny Sapp likely will start in place of Winfield.

Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco picked apart Winfield's sub, Karl Paymah, last week after the hard-hitting cornerback went down in the second quarter. Flacco threw for 196 yards in the fourth quarter alone, but the Vikings (6-0) held on for a 33-31 win to remain undefeated.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

well, after today's game this sucks

Winfield's one of my favorite corners. Physical, team player, smart, veteran. He's right up there in my list with asoumugha, ike and the rejuvenated bailey

as for now- Go deep ben!!

lol, i think the vikings threw out that winfield might play just as an intimidation factor. How could they even leave out the possibility of him playing if he's likely out 4-6 weeks
