I'm giving out 3 today. One to Woodley, one to KFox and one definitely goes to the Steelers D as a unit. Opportunity knocked and they answered - BIG! :applaudit::hatsoff::drink::tt03:

Hard to pick,

Turnovers were HUGE, but Defense couldn't get Brett off the field.

Offense has a few great drives, but was miserable on 3rd down conversions.

I think I give my game ball to the referee for the TD saving tripping call.

The D FINISHED a game again and we won...i think they get it with high props to Woodley, Fox and even Harrison (2-3 sacks).

Wallace was good also and gets a special mention!

Except our D was on the field for more than 40 minutes, any strugles our D had could be attributed to our offensive failings.

Also, the refs ridiculous pass interference call on Heath Miller turned Holmes' TD in the first half into 3 points...so its not like the refs were trying to give us the game or anything...

The entire Defense gets my game ball. They only gave up 10 offensive points to one of the top offensive teams in the league.

The DEFENSE BABY!!! With Troy back there (and when Timmons is healthy) it's one of the best in the league.

Time for them to heal during the break.
Here we go STEELERS!!

My game ball has to go Keyaron Fox for the touchdown return. The Vikings were in position to get at least 3 points to tie it up. :applaudit:

More enjoyable was when AP sucked in his cheeks and closed his eyes as he watched our team sprint downfield as he was taking a breather on the sideline after having a solid run and screaming like a beast. :sofunny:

Might be a good time to acknowledge the defense as a unit. This could be a turning point in the season, especially after the refs took 7 off and Mendy fumbled.

The team still needs more work and their "stats" were full of holes, but they scored more. Good thing BB didn;t throw a pick or that would have been the game. It was sheer will coming back from Mendy's fumble.

hmmmm....tough call...nobody really played outstanding today on either side of the ball... but i guess i'd go with woodley. he had a few pressures and the fumble return was huge.

Well...that was really on the offensive player not holding onto the ball. But yeah, Fox did do what he's paid to do. I was more impressed with the strip and Woodley return than I was with Fox's return, but both were important plays by the defense.

You saying after those two historical plays on defense that "nobody really played outstanding today on either side of the ball"?

I hope you are being facetous because that was the equivalent to the "Thrilla in Manilla". The game was for the ages and it would get more attention if Favre was the one coming out on top, but Steeler fans know better.

I still don't believe my eyes. You all witnessed history today. You cannot top it even with the 1970s Steelers.

The defense as a whole but in particular the Aaron Smith-less defensive line for holding Peterson to 69 yards rushing. Kiesel's strip of Favre that Woodley took to the house was huge too. I hope Kirschke's injury isn't significant.

And kind of lost in the shuffle was the defense's goalline stand with Minnesota on the 1 & having to settle for a chip shot field goal. That was really big.

The LB's get my gameball.

the DB's were ok, Clark and Troy had a nice hit each. However, most of the DB's whiffed at least once (I think Clark was the only one I didn't see whiff on something.

HOw in the WORLD does a NT get called offsides TWICE? STAIR AT THE BALL. WHEN IT MOVES...YOU MOVE.

However, Petereson, 18 rushs, 69 yards, BEAUTIFUL. Great job Run D!

The defense didnt really dominate for us as a unit. It was the Linebacker Corp that was phenomenal today. Our 2ndary allowed Sidney Rice to get 134 receiving yards, and Favre had a season high 334 passing yards

Big Snack had an unusually bad game when it came to mental lapses.

How many penalties were called on him? Don't forget on that goal line stand the Vikes actually had 4 plays because they got the free neutral zone play because of Hampton.

I know he helped control AP all day, but it was just strange to see him get all those penalties against him.

Overall, Gameball to Farrior and Kiesel.

Tough to pick on this one. I really like Fox. He has shown he can be a starter in this league several times this year. And I always like Woodley. Harrison puts so much pressure on teams that even if he doesn't get there, they have to pass the ball out fast and dink and dunk down the field instead of having time for a lot of long passes.

linebackers, all 4-harrison, woodley, farrior, and fox, as a unit, they dominated...4 sacks, a fumble, an INT, and 2 TDs, they won the game for us and made up for below average secondary play and average d line play

I think you mean five... Timmons was in there for the a lot of the game and did a VERY good job with 7 tackles, 5 solos, and a tackle for a loss.

Funny how I was worried about no lb depth at the start of the year. Well, guess we don't have those worries anymore do we? DANG.

I have two.

The first goes to Fox....:football:
Although the whole LB corps played well, Fox had the pick six and just as impressive was the fact that he was a WALL at the goal line against AP.

My second goes to Max Starks....:football:
Say what you will...Max nulllified the best 4-3 DE in the game...and did it with very little help. I saw the TE's chip Jared Allen every once in a while, but Max handled him One-on-One for the biggest part of the day.

The Oline gets one as does Keisel. If you notice on those 2 turnovers he was in the middle of both of em.

The second goes to the LBs. Came up with big plays, all day!
