I think Max has really turned out well for this football team. He is having a pro bowl type year. He held is own against Jarad Allen and every other DE he's faced. I am really impressed with how our o-line is playing so far. I could also see Kemo making the pro bowl as well. I just wish BA would run the ball a little more now that we have a stud RB.

Max seems to be having a decent year. I have to confess, I did not think he was worth the franchise tag nor the deal he signed. Still don't know if he's worth that kind of money even if he is play well. There's still a lot of football to be played before I get on a pro bowl bandwagon. But it is great to see Starks and the rest of the O-Line working their tails off ... if they keep improving we'll have a heck of a year!

Starks was not worth the franchise tag. He IS worth the new contract he was given, as its only something like $10mil in guaranteed money. I have been all over him for being a guy of unfulfilled promise who seems to have mental lapses and technique lapses that get him beat, but he has played very well the past 3 games.

He played well in the Vikings game, average in the Browns and Chargers game, but at least its finally some kind of consistency. Pro bowl though???..............Joe Thomas, Jake Long, Michael Roos, Marcus McNeil, Ryan Clady, Brandon Albert and even Michael Oher will get the nod before Starks at this point.

The FO knows exactly what it is doing and why it does things the way it does. Starks looked like he had some issues and I think him being put on back up status for a while shook him up and made him hungry. Tomlin seems to know how to motivate people to elevate their play.

now stop and ask yourself why the majority of the rushing plays, the ones that are successful anyway, are going to the right side .....sure starks is doing better in pass protection, but thats only half the job.

Going against the likes or Harrison in training camp can never hurt your game.

That should certainly make him better.

Going against the likes or Harrison in training camp can never hurt your game.unless you get pushed back into the $100 million franchise qb and stomp on his ankle...
