Well, I know no one is really that excited about this game, but its something to help pass the time until tomorrow night anyway.

While we control our own destiny, I would still sleep better knowing the Bengals lost two straight (today and Sunday).

Damn you Flacco. If you were playing us, you'd be drilling the ball in there.

Interesting, during the intro they showed Ray Ray doing his pregame huddle rant. Anyway his arms flailing and number 12 is just standing flat footed like he is scared stiff. I think he was afraid of being stabbed.

When we actually want them to play well, they lay an egg.

When we play them, they bring their "A" game.

Bengals being handed another game due to penalties.

Well, at least Miami is "hanging in there" with the Pats.

Bengals being handed another game due to penalties.

I wouldn't say that. The Ravens have NO secondary what-so-ever and the rest of the defense is either missing tackles or can't get off their blocks.

I haven't seen a bad penalty yet. I saw one missed delay of game, but that was on 3rd and 10 and the Ravens still didn't stop the Bengals.

I've denied it, but it can't be denied any longer. The Bengals are serious business this year. If It'll be tough to beat them, even though Pittsburgh was destroying them for 55 minutes in Cincy. Instead of pulling wins out of their asses, they're whopping on teams now.

So much for Baltimore "regaining" their mojo on Defense. Funny how things work when you're not playing a Quarterback that's not in over his head.

But none of this will mean anything if Pittsburgh doesn't beat Denver Monday.

Even though the Ravens are getting whooped on, they're still doing a number on the Bengals in the injury department.

What? Who the hell was saying that the 2009 Ravens are the best defense of all time?

Now the 2000 team, they were the best ever.

The Steel Curtain during the 70's is regarded as the best defense of all time.

And unlike the Rats, they weren't a one hit wonder.

Sorry

The best D ever was the 1976 Steelers. Period.

(and I may be a Steelers homer, but even NFL Network---who rated the Top Ten Defenses of All Time----had them as #1. The 1985 Bears were #2)

That being said,

Where TF are the Ravens today?

Indy is beginning to show some cracks. This happens EVERY year with few exceptions. They get off to a hot start, Pundits put them in the AFC Championship/Super Bowl, they slow down in the middle of the season, then they get their first loss, then they crumble in the playoffs.

to be fair, the Ravens never ever had an offense to back up their defense in the history of their franchise.

Things looked like that would change starting this season but now its the Ravens D that is on the decline...

True, but you can't pin only one offensive TD on the defense. In truth, the defense blew in the 1st quarter, was rocky in the 2nd and then held tight in the second half. The offense was just atrocious. Flacco definitely was way off on his passes.

I still don't think the Bengals are a SB-quality team, but their defense did look good today.

theyre not. they have no idea how to handle success. and when chad johnson is the ringleader when it comes to handing out advice on those matters, you know you got inevitable problems brewing.

Johnson fumbled twice with two losses. Benson is their best weapon. D is good, but will fold if they make the playoffs.

The locals are celebrating "the big win" and the newscasters are are all "who dey-ing" about beating the Ravens. A win is a win, granted, and a division win, but for gawds sake, people you only scored 17 points against a team that played really, really bad.

Somebody really needs to put Cinci in it's place.

I wonder who that might be? :helmet:

Edman

The Bengals were that good today in the first half. Second Half not so much. They should've beaten Baltimore by much more. But still, they're a much tougher team.

Hopefully this will get the media off of Baltimore's sack. They've been very inconsistent this year.
