Will wonders never cease. This case is so egregious that the MSM can't ignore it. Despite the "president's" and CAIR's best efforts to paint this as an isolated incident, the evidence is mounting that we have been attacked again, and that this is the beginning of an array of "operations" that have been being staged for some time.

There has been speculation that the "intel" community blew 9/11. They certainly blew this one. And nobody seems to give a @#$%.

Officials: U.S. Aware of Hasan Efforts to Contact al Qaeda
Army Major in Fort Hood Massacre Used 'Electronic Means' to Connect with Terrorists
By RICHARD ESPOSITO, MATTHEW COLE and BRIAN ROSS
Nov. 9, 2009

U.S. intelligence agencies were aware months ago that Army Major Nidal Hasan was attempting to make contact with people associated with al Qaeda, two American officials briefed on classified material in the case told ABC News.

It is not known whether the intelligence agencies informed the Army that one of its officers was seeking to connect with suspected al Qaeda figures, the officials said.

One senior lawmaker said the CIA had, so far, refused to brief the intelligence committees on what, if any, knowledge they had about Hasan's efforts.

CIA director Leon Panetta and the Director of National Intelligence, Dennis Blair, have been asked by Congress "to preserve" all documents and intelligence files that relate to Hasan, according to the lawmaker.

On Sunday, Senator Joseph Lieberman (D-CT) called for an investigation into whether the Army missed signs as to whether Hasan was an Islamic extremist.

"If Hasan was showing signs, saying to people that he had become an Islamist extremist, the U.S. Army has to have a zero tolerance," Lieberman told Fox News Sunday.

Investigators want to know if Hasan maintained contact with a radical mosque leader from Virginia, Anwar al Awlaki, who now lives in Yemen and runs a web site that promotes jihad around the world against the U.S.

In a blog posting early Monday titled "Nidal Hassan Did the Right Thing," Awlaki calls Hassan a "hero" and a "man of conscience who could not bear living the contradiction of being a Muslim and serving in an army that is fighting against his own people."

According to his site, Awlaki served as an imam in Denver, San Diego and Falls Church, Virginia.

The Associated Press reported Sunday that Major Hasan attended the Falls Church mosque when Awlaki was there.

The Telegraph of London reported that Awlaki had made contact with two of the 9/11 hijackers when he was in San Diego.

He denied any knowledge of the hijacking plot and was never charged with any crime. After an intensive investigation by the FBI, Awlaki moved to Yemen.

People who knew or worked with Hasan say he seemed to have gradually become more radical in his disapproval of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

A case is building...

If he was radicalizing himself that's a very big problem...and very rare in the US. Which is actually kind of borne out by the facts here, because there was intel that he WAS doing this...why it wasn't acted on is a bigger problem.

What I DON'T believe is that he was some kind of long-term sleeper agent. I just think he cracked...

All big problems. And that it isn't being acted on is wrong as wrong gets. Heads need to roll. This gubmint is breeding its own downfall.

What I DON'T believe is that he was some kind of long-term sleeper agent. I just think he cracked...

He isn't a sleeper. They recruit, redicalize, and integrate into operations. He was clearly recruited and radicalized. The act itself and choice of weapon tell that he was the sharp tip of an op.

My point in attempting to get folks to pay attention to this is that this is being staged on a large scale. They're in all the branches of service and intel. And now with the seditious POS in the White House, and his appointments, its being facilitated by overt favor to all things islamic.

How many more of these incidents will it take for us to get serious?

There are about 3500 self-described muslims in the US Military...I need to see more than 1 act (or conspire to act) in a violent, anti-US fashion before I start jumping to conclusions about any nefarious "fifth columns" infiltrating our military...

The irony in him waking up today is that they're going to treat him in the hospital and shoot him up for whatever pain he has.

Then, it may very well be a needle that takes him out.

Sen. Joe Lieberman said Sunday he wants Congress to determine whether the shootings constitute a terrorist attack and whether warning signs that Hasan was embracing an increasingly extremist view of Islamic ideology were missed.

"If Hasan was showing signs, saying to people that he had become an Islamist extremist, the U.S. Army has to have zero tolerance," Lieberman, an independent from Connecticut, said on "Fox News Sunday." "He should have been gone."

now that i would have to agree with Lieberman on.

It almost as if the US government turned its head on the possibilty of such act to happen. Kind of like they did in 9/11. They want these bad things to happen.
Even on our turf.
