What about the old SLASH days. Line Dixon up at wide out. the dude is fast and we know Ben can get the ball there. can't hurt have 2 or 3 receivers out there with blazing speed then hit ward in the flats to keep them all off guard
Just a thougt:tt04:

this again?

why would anyone suggest taking either mendenhall, miller, holmes, ward, or wallace off the field for a back up qb? i want the best players for the situation on the field at all times. unfortunately dixon isnt it. fine as a back up qb though.

i'd rather see one or two passes a game to mendenhall in the seam.

Dixon is not built as thick as Kordell. One good hit by a safety would break him in half.

Also, when Kordell was a rookie he was not the backup QB and he was being used as a WR in practice during the week. The reason that slash was born was that none of the DB's could cover him in practice. So far, there has been no evidence that the thought has even crossed the coaching staff's mind.
