How come we don`t do this?? Should`nt Woodson have retired a Steeler?? What about Franco and or Webster, they weren`t able to retire Steelers either, or did they? I don`t remember the Steelers bringing Web or harris back for a one day contract just to retire them.

Some teams will do it, its not a real big deal contract wise... but its really up to the Player how they wanna go out. Some wanna go out w/ their original team, some have hard feelings and dont.
I have heard that Rod will go into the HOF as a Steeler though. Just so long as he doesnt go in as a F'n ratbird!!!

I was always worried that he would go as a ratbird, won the ring there. Even if he was with us longer. In MLB the player doesn`t choose the league does

rod did an interview on nfl network, before he started working there..and they asked him, and he said he'd probably go in as a Steeler. Let's hope he sticks w/ that.

Do u think deion sanders will retire a raven, a 49er or a cowboy?

A Falcon, thats where he came in, and made his first all pro while playing for the braves. with mc hammer on the sidelines

He wont retire as a ratbird..thats a pretty safe assumption..but I'd think either a Falcon or a cowboy. He made his name in Atlanta, but he had much more success in dallas. Knowing Dieon, he probably has some kinda gimmick up his sleeve for that day.

I think he had to. I couldn't live with no NFL just cause my team couldn't pay me anymore. He added 1100 more yards. Good for him. Go out on your own terms.
