Alright I do not have time to read this article so I will comment anyway. If this is serious these guys need to stay off the crack from there local drug dealers which can be found at any stoplight. That city is a hole. Will read article later.

That's pretty funny. I say the fans of our two teams burn Detroit City to the ground after the game! No matter what the outcome of the game is. :)

Even if we burn it to the ground.....wouldn't it end up a nicer place?

LOL

It was a tongue-in-cheek article trying to demonstrate the bad publicity Detroit gets whenever it's mentioned and how painting a city and people with a broad brush doesn't always give you the proper perspective. The writer was just having a little fun talking about the out of control rioters in Seattle and the numbskulls in Philly and how Detroiters should beware of these lunatics.

Yeah... Detroit's afraid of you ruining our beautiful city. This is Detroit. We'll knock your teeth out and burn it down ourselves, beeyotch.

Everyone who comes here is going to have a good time and the only thing that'll bring someone down is the outcome of the game. Don't listen to the stereotypes, it's more of an image that many Detroiters seem to enjoy spreading. For some reason we like to be scary, but it's not really all that scary.

From everything I'm reading, when the Steelers win, Detroit probably WILL riot and burn themselves to the ground...again.

You're the smart one in your family. I can tell.

We're happy to have the Steelers and Seahawks in Detroit and you say stuff like that.

Brilliant.

As I understand it, a lot of fun is across the river in Windsor, including but not limited to casinos - true?

True. There's a casino in Windsor and many a strip club (aka the Canadian Ballet.)

Of course there are casinos in Detroit and bazillions of strip clubs.

Just be sure everyone brings their passport or birth certificate to cross the border.

Heh... Foosball champ, eh? I've got a Tornado table in my house. :D

I'm originally from the South, and back then, before video games, you learned how to play that & pool if you wanted to have fun.

You guys make sure to spread the word that a classier, friendlier bunch you'll never see than Steeler fans. I'd bet my bottom dollar on it, and it has never, EVER been otherwise. I tend to take the Steelers and the Pens with me wherever I go, and if I've been told ten times, I've been told a hundred that people always represent well for the Steelers. That always makes me proud.

Yes, sir, WWII... I have much respect for Steeler fans, some of the best in the NFL for sure. I don't talk bad of them unlike some other teams' fans out there. I realize some people say things behind a computer they'd never say in person. It's all good.

The foosball table goes to every Lions home game. You lose... you shotgun! You either get good real quick or drunk even quicker.

Congrats on the Steelers making it to the Super Bowl, WWII. Lions fans are living vicariously through you.

To anyone who may have taken offense to my suggestion to burn Detroit City to the ground no matter who wins the Super Bowl....I need to make a disclaimer that I, in no way, shape, or form condone arson. Burning Detroit City to the ground is not cool and please, those of you attending the Super Bowl...please do not burn Detroit City to the ground. Thanks you.

And no, to the person who tried to give me bad rep points for my comment about Detroit City burning to the ground....I said it because I thought it was funny...not because I am pissed that I don't have Super Bowl tickets. Believe me....even if I did have Super Bowl tickets....I would have thought it even funnier and still would have said it...but still not meant it literally.:dang:

FYI, about the Seattle riots during the WTO meetings...believe me when I say those anarchists are not the kind of fans that will travel to Detroit or any city to support ANY sports team. Now, if beer runs out at the game than all bets are off. :chuckle:
