Since we can start planning for 2010, who do you think is gone and who returns for 2010?

1. BB & Dixon
2. Mendy and ?
3. Ward, Holmes, Wallace, Miller??
4. OL same
5. Polamalu & Clark
6. Snack, Hood, Smith
7. Harrison, Woodley, Timmons

I doubt Logan makes it back. Sweed is on the bubble in pre-season, expect many changes in the secondary and on STs.

ST and secondary coaches will be lucky if they survive.

I'll personally hand-deliver the pink slips to Carey Davis, Limas Sweed, Stefan Logan, Tyrone Carter, and Matt Spaeth. None is worth the wasted roster spot they're using up.

nobody has played well on the secondary.

i expect gay and sepulveda to sign restricted offers, clark may be back.

i think our secondary can do well, but they are putrid 4 weeks in arow now.

At the beginning of the year, who would have thought that the o-line would be one of the most consistently decent units on the field...and that the defense would be killing us?

Useless space, as far as I'm concerned is:
Carey Davis
Frank Summers (from what little we saw)
Limas Sweed
Tyrone Carter
Matt Spaeth
Stefan Logan
William Gay

Gay obviously won't be gone, but lets all pray that he isn't a starter next year.

Hopefully, Hampton, Carter, and Mundy are gone.

It's too bad that Ike and Gay won't be gone. Worst CB tandom in the league.

I don't think they are the worst, but it is shocking to me that the bungles have a much better duo.

Logan is Mr Tippy Toe....You gotta sprint right off the bat on kickoffs......That takes balls and he ain't got em.........He is gone.....I said it in preseason you dont waste a spot for a return man unless it's Cribbs........Boneheaded move.....

They gave up three 80 yard drives to the Raiders in the 4th QTR where the average drive was 2:00 minutes.

They are the worst. There is no way to dispute it.

Now is the time to find out who your team is next year........Play the guys on the bench........I was glad to see mundy on the field.......I have not seen a darn thing out of Ziggy yet........Man we need some dominant youth on that line.........At least Tone looks good..........as with most of the receivers.......We need some new direction on offense cause it don't work consistantly........I dont get it how they can be so great then so bad........I think the system needs tweeked cause we got the talent.........But we gotta get some new meat on the D side of the ball for sure..........
Play hard the last few games any way guys.....

Who will return in 2010?

I will.

Can't say the same for some of the posters today.

Oh wait...you were asking about the players?

I think Clark is on the bubble. He's on the wrong side of 30 and he hasn't looked good this year.

Willie is gone. I feel bad for him but he never fully recovered from that broken leg. I just hope an idiot owner like Jerry, Al, or Snyder pays him a king's ransom so he can cash in.

Memo is a decent third down back and Mendy is the feature back next year.

The linebackers all come back.

Heath should be a top priority.

I expect to see a secondary of Taylor, Gay, Burnett, Lewis and a veteran. The S will be Troy, Clark gets extended, Mundy and a rookie pick.

I can see Spaeth, Parker, Kirschke gone for sure. Townsend they let retire or walk, Colon is a coin flip if they can sign him and the special teamers like Bailey, Frazier, Madison, Logan are all in a camp battle for jobs. Next season might be the last for Farrior......he looks to have lost a step.

I agree that Stefan Logan hasn't been that productive. But its a helluva lot better than Carey Davis returning them. I say we go for a double wammy in the draft next year, a shutdown corner and a return specialist, if it's there. Or get one, one round and one the next . But all my years of being a Steelers fan I've never been excited about kick and punt returns perhaps being taking back for a touchdown, Will Blackwell, Troy Edwards, Davenport, or even Randle El and him running backwards 6 yards and gaining 2, was never exciting, but at least Logan is a threat and fun to watch.

Not many are just going to be cut. It just doesn't happen. Gay and a few others might be demoted but that's about it.

Even though people have been upset with Logan, he is a big improvement over last year and has not had a bad season, but lacks the breakaway speed to be a constant td threat

I agree, I like Logan much better than any return man last year. He has quickness and 40 yard speed.......but not long speed like you indicate.

I'm OK with an 80 yard return to open the game...........I just think we should have come away with 7pts instead of 3 when operating from the Raiders 20.

That's the funny thing...I thought I had read somewhere that he ran a 4.3.

Maybe I read that wrong and it was a 4.6.

Can someone please explain why no one likes Logan? I feel like he is consistently getting us some decent returns.

Most fair-weather "fans" define a good KR as one who returns every other one for a TD.

often in the nfl a game or season comes down to a kick and some are 50 yds or more with jeff reed as the kicker the outcome is usually not a good one.plus you have willie gay getting beat on a route by 15 yards among other blunders.

I forgot about that. That's 4 more points we left out there tonight.

And there was the game......in the first minute of the game. Never, ever, leave a single point on the field. It will come back and bite you. :banging:

only reason the bungles have a better duo id they spent draft picks on CBs, we refuse to do that, but we should this year look at how much talent is out there at CB, i mean the athletes comin outta college almost assure u a great pick no matter wen u draft. but we need a corner or a safety in the 1st round, but knowing tomlin it will be a receiver or TE, he makes dumb decisions sometimes ya kno haha

Yeah, Mendenhall and Woodley are looking like really stupid picks. :coffee:
