View Full Version : Raiders Poem (12/06/09)

If we unleashed hell than it must have ran away
Because the Raiders werenít scared at Heinz on Sunday

Four losses in a row - when will it end ?
This is a Superbowl title weíre trying to defend

The first 2 quarters were really kind of boring
And in the 3rd quarter there wasnít any scoring

Then came the 4th quarter - both teams would explode
Neither offense could really be slowed

The Raiders scored first and then so did we
A long pass to Holmes and then a Mendenhall TD

Oakland came back with a short drive of their own
Only 3 plays to get them in the end zone

Ben took us down the field but he did it too quick
So what was about to happen would make us all sick

Some big plays and a penalty for a few yards more
And soon the Raiders got the go ahead score

One last chance hail mary for game winning glory
But Sweed couldnít catch it so thatís the end of this story

The season isnít over but it is fourth and long
But we can still end the season strong

Itís a short week now with a game on Thursday night
We still have a chance at the playoffs - no matter how slight

We need a win and we need one fast
Letís put all these losses in the past

So letís go to Cleveland and beat the Browns
By 1 or 2 or maybe 4 touchdowns

Very good. Is it just me or are they holding Harrison, Woodley, and Farrior every play.

Great poem although a different outcome would have been nice :chuckle:

Can we have regular Haiku Tuesdays and such? Please!?!

This hell is unleashed
Cold days in hell, NFL
...or so it would seem.

Hmmm... maybe I should leave the verse to others more capable than myself, eh?
