This team doesn't have what it takes to honorably defend a championship. Bottom line.

I wouldn't call us quitters, but I would say something is definately not right

Agreed!! They quit out there tonight, in prime time against the Browns no less!!

It starts at the top people.

"I believe Do you" Yeah, I believe we suck ass and have a D-bag for an OC and a HC that has lost the respect of his team. Respect, easy to lose and hard to gain.

They could be 0-16 I would stand behind them, a telling moment from lastnight. Pregame, I saw a pic of a few steelers, Including Harrison standing around the heater like it was a campfire trying to get warm. When I saw that I knew we were in trouble, the focus was elsewhere (on the cold)

You can't be serious... Well. With the things I have seen around here over the last few years, I guess you CAN be serious.

Sure is sad though. A head coach that has lost the respect of his team. Really? Did you see anyone yelling at the coach? Any on-field discipline issues tonight? Anyone refusing to go in? I don't know. I saw Ward playing with a bad hammy, Heath diving for first downs, Mendy playing a good game, Ben going head first for first downs, That seems like respect to me.

You know how it is around here Preacher if we don't win every game and blow other teams out then you have people who want to criticize. We won't have as many members on here next year because they will be pulling for someone else.

I don't think Mike Tomlin has lost the team, but I do think that he's done a poor job of handling adversity. We'll see if he's learned from his mistakes next season.

On that note, it's painfully obvious that Bruce Arians has not, so he must be escorted from the pemises no later than January 4, 2010.

I'm disappointed in how this season turned out - what Steelers fan wouldn't be - but I still love 'em just as much. I've been down this bumpy road before with the Steelers and though the bumps hurt, I know those bumps won't last for long.

I believe the same thing HTG. This team will be back quicker that most think. Disappointed, yes. Devastated, no. I have faith in the Steelers organization. This isn't anything I haven't seen before.

Ben likes to move around...why not move the pocket at times ? Mendy has a nice combo of power and speed..why not more draws ? Why not isolate the RB on a LB and exploit that mismatch ? Why not more three step drops to at least slow the pass rush and preserve field position by not taking more sacks than necessary all the while preserving the $100M QB. Why not practice more screens to become efficient at it ? Why not use more misdirection or bootleg rollouts with Ben and Miller ?

Arians is garbage....i dont know how many poorly designed screens we've seen the past 3 yrs or that shitty bubble screen to the wr we see every damn game. No creativity. Teams have seen this play every game..why not line up in that same formation, pull from center fake the bubble screen toss, rotate your hips and hit the wr on the other side who should be isolated in single coverage for a big play ?

Addition by subtraction would be to rid ourselves of goathead (Arians) NOW. Bens calls plays and does just as good a job of it. I hear Chan Gaileys out of work.

There was a name from the past, CHAN GAILEY< the guy that brought us slash, MMM do we have a guy like that on this team.??!!

As we all ponder the Steelers lost season, we can take solace in the fact that WE WILL BE BACK. The fact that the STEELERS are the best run franchise in pro sports and have more NFL titles than any one else makes me extremely proud to wear the black and gold!!

Do you have a plan of action, Mr. Colbert?

I've been a Steelers fan for over 30 years, and will continue to be until my dying day, but it is hard to argue that one of the teams out there last night looked like they did not want to be there. There sure did not appear to be the sense of urgency one would expect from a team playing for their playoff lives.

Like Hines said, EMBARRASSING. Poor execution, poor effort, and some of the worst tackling I've seen by the Steelers in a long, long time.

The Steelers pride themselves on being the more physical team. Last night they were out-physicaled by the lowley Browns. If the objective is to impose your will on the other team, our team got punched in the mouth last night, and did nothing about it.

Quitters? The Steelers? No way.

There is "something" wrong with them; no question about it, but it's not that they quit on the season.

We need to inject a little better talent into our secondary (youthful or otherwise). I'm not going to blame Arians for any play calling because execution needs to happen no matter what is called and Ben was sacked EIGHT FRIGGIN' TIMES!!! Even if you split the blame between Ben and the O-Line, four sacks either way is unacceptable....especially against the Browns!

Ike Taylor IS overrated. Gay is a liability and Farrior (who I love to death) missed tackle after tackle.

Heath, Mendy and Hines all dropped passes last night and Ben seems a bit off to me (4th and 6 play last night and the pick in the end zone last week). But, I'll give him a pass since he was sacked EIGHT FIRGGIN' TIMES!

Troy's loss hurts and hurts a lot, but as usual not enough is being made about the impact of one Aaron Smith (A.K.A. The BEST 3-4 DE in the NFL).

We've not lost a game this year by more than 7 points. In the beginning it was ST's killing us (missed FG's and returns for TD's). Then it was the secondary. Now it's all three phases.

What kills me is that we have almost the same roster as last year (minus the injuries) and we're 6-7 with a much easier schedule.

Rave about Ike all you want but even last year when our defense was kick-ass, he would still draw constant P.I. calls because he was getting beat.

So I know I get critizied on here for my attitude and yes im one of those new age fans being only 18 and a fan since I was 6, but never the less I am a die hard fan and will be forever. Its just rough watching this team fall apart as they are. They are totally a 6 and 10 team and its hard to believe that before the Vikings game. This team had went through so much in a negative way and its just frustrating for all of us I know. Some just keep it cool and other not so much.

Maybe u can root for the Lions....They never let their fans down. I agree we stunk it up but, apparently you havent been around during the other bad seasons, well i have and there were plenty. so suck it up and take the bad with the good. Imagine if we won every year......would that make you feel better. Oh what fun would that be?....
