View Full Version : Casey Hampton makes the Pro Bowl!!!

01-27-2006, 08:54 PM

Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Casey Hampton will replace the injured Richard Seymour of the New England Patriots on the AFC Pro Bowl roster.

Hampton, in his fifth season, also played in the Pro Bowl following the 2003 season.

Hampton missed all but six games of the 2004 season with a knee injury, but returned this season to make 44 tackles and force one fumble. He is considered one of the NFL's best run defenders and is a major reason why the Steelers haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher in their three playoff victories.

Well he should have been the first Steeler to go to the Pro Bowl

This is great for Casey, and very well deserved that he's going! But damn straight he shoulda been the first one to hit Hawaii this year anyways.

Casey and Richard Seymore were both listed as reserves.. so they must be going w/ more DL this year.

i cant wait for Tobeck (Seattle's center) to poop a brick when he lines up against the man-mountain...talk about a mismatch.....

Does anyone else feel like Ben should be in the pro-bowl ahead of Trent Green? I can understand him being behind Brady,Manning, and Palmer. But Trent Green? I just don't get it. Heh, maybe he'll drop out too.

well ben was hurt a few games of the season and didn't really have the stats, that's why trent green is ahead of him. anyway glad to see a longhorn/steeler going to the probowl, well deserved

finally... some1 realizes he deserves this other than us... i just love on the 4th and short plays and he just gets off the ball so quickly and dumb announcers like phil simms think that he is offsides... but it is just sooo beautiful and i think this was very late but very deserved

Congrats to Casey!

Does anyone know who/how they select these replacements? Why wasn't Ben selected ahead of Trent Green?

IF Casey played in a 4-3, he'd still succeed. I've seen him run down slower QB's down from behind, and that's not easy for a 350 lb man.

Congrats to Casey, well deserved. I'm having trouble figuring out why Green's going ahead of Ben tho.

Congrats to Casey!

Does anyone know who/how they select these replacements? Why wasn't Ben selected ahead of Trent Green?

probably for the same reason he wasnt selected ahead of j. plummer. missing 3 games due to injury and another 3/4 ths due to being benched in favor of the back-up in mop up duty.
