What to do without a Steelers game Sunday!?!?!?
By Peter Leo, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

We want to help

It's come to our attention that there is no Steelers game this Sunday for the first time in about four months. A lot of you will be at sixes and sevens, maybe even eights, depending on the point spread. The Morning File feels your pain and has a few suggestions:

Learn the names of your children. It's OK to use name tags to jog the memory, but, please, black and gold name tags only. And don't assume, if your son has "Ward" on his Steelers jersey, that that's his name.

Say something meaningful to your spouse without using the words "blitz," "blindside," "cover two," "nickel package" and "******** referee." Also, it's inadvisable to call her for a "false start" when too much time elapses between the call for dinner and the meal appearing.

Start a thoughtful discussion at your church or community center. Suggested topics: "Can a free agent ever truly be free?" Or: "The ethics of the Double Reverse: WWJD?"

Call the League of Women Voters and find out the name of the governor, mayor and your state and federal representatives. But don't embarrass yourself by asking in what round Rendell was drafted.

Tailgate at your church, but during services, do not ask what the point spread is on your chances of salvation.Give your liver a chance to get in shape for the Super Bowl; hold off drinking until noon.

Go to the symphony but don't come off as a rube by waving your Terrible Towel between movements. Wait until the piece is concluded.

Involve the neighborhood kids in a touch football game, but refrain from a Polamulu-style hurdle into a 9-year-old. And no trash talk. ("You call that a hit, Heather? Huh? I'll blind-side your orthodontist next time! Bring it, baby!")

Expand your culinary horizons. Go a day without chips, nachos or chili. Try eating a vegetable. Ease into it with a raw carrot.

Try to recoup some of your betting loses by searching beneath the couch cushions for loose change.

Help your young ones with their math homework. If they're having difficulty, say, with percentages, explain that if they were betting on the Steelers, the bookie's 10 percent "vig" would necessitate risking $55 to win $50.

Since you will be at home, have the sense to wear the black jerseys.

Yeah hopefully they'd know better than to schedule any big exams and BS papers due right after the SB when they know half the campus will be hung over anyways :sofunny:
