Says if he made the decision TODAY, he would retire. Don't know how much it will change into the offseason. This gives a big clue that he will most likely retire instead of continuing. But never know, maybe something will change his mind.

The only thing I see changing his mind is a totally revamped Green Packer team.

I'd retire if I were Brett. McCarthy was the Aints' offensive coordinator. Talk about guaranteed suckdom.

Favre is the man!!!! 2nd in some major QB categories....This guy is one tough bastard^^. Cmon', this guy is a 1st ballot Hall of Famer and we talk about him like he sucks. He's better than the majority of QBs left in the league. I'd even say he's top 10. Hell, he had no RB, no o-line, missed his top receiver and te. Yeah, he turned it over alot. But let's be honest here....He had no choice but to try and win the game himself.

Me, too! Ever since that interview several months ago with his ego-ness saying how it's not his job to help guide the rookie, I can't stand the guy. Imagine if Bettis came off with that kind of attitude. (And yea, maybe the Bus has earned an ego, too. But he doesn't have one like that.)
I say let him drag it out, string them along & show us what an egomaniac he really is.

Favre says what he thinks....something that 98% of the players don't do.

the last few years Brett Favre has been a Drew Bledsoe. At his peak, he was great, that ended around 1999.

Make that three seasons over 30TDS after 1999.....Something Tom Brady has never, and I repeat never done.

and 112 interceptions. not to mention, what, 6 against the Rams in the 2001 playoffs?
the crappy peformance vs Atlanta at home in 2002, and that great INT against the Eagles in 2003? super stuff.

Why? He's done it all, the Pro Bowl's, the Championships...The Pack won't be back in '06, or even '07, and the Aint's may be even worse.

How on earth anyone could hate Farve is beyond me. Yeah, the press has over-played him for the past several years but he is like watching a bull rider on cleats. You just had to like the guy.

I almost forgot, everyone else besides Brady sucks!!!! Get a clue.....Brady wouldn't have won anything if it wasn't for Belichick and NE's Defense.

Time to slip you a clue. The game plan, and defense, were just fine in Denver. It was Brady that was off. Get the point?

That post wasn't in response to you....Do you get it? I'm sick of the Favre haters. If people want to say hang it up b/c GB won't be competitive......I can understand that. But, to imply he can't play to the level he has in the past just isn't correct. This year was different.....No O-line, 5th string RB and a shitty defense. Where was NE with all their injuries? You should understand.

SMH, as much as i hate bret favre he has at least one more good year in him, it wasn't his fault everyone on the team blew out their knees. if they would draft lendale white and get javon back they'll be badass for being a team in the nfc, and in their division it's wide open every year. the packers better pray he comes back, cause arron rodgers is gonna be worse then bret was this year

I see what you're saying, but it is the way he presented himself as he said it, like he's God & his farts fuel the world. He had that smug look on his face, ugh..can't stand him.

why is when someone says Favre isnt God, they are a "Favre hater" or when someone says Bettis is maybe the 15th best running back ever instead of the 5th or 6th they are a "Bettis hater"?
is this the new strategy for winning a debate? when you are losing you call out "hater?

its very annoying

thats funny, usually i read posts that Belichick wouldnt have won anything if Brady didnt land in his lap.
But you are absolutly right. Brady would not have won the Super Bowls without Belichick and the defense. And Bradshaw would not have won without Noll and the Steel Curtain. And Montana would not have won without Walsh and his defense. And Starr would not have won with Lombardi and the Packer defense. And Elway would not have won without Davis and Shanahan etc etc etc.
And in every case visa versa.
when did anybody say everybody but Brady sucks? Why is everyone SO sensitive about Favre??
Get a clue, yourself.

I'm sick of people saying that he can't play anymore....Look at his stats. More TD passes than Brady and most of the NFL.

I think he can still play, and that's exactly why I want him to hang it up now. The LAST thing I want to see is a Brett Favre who can't play still trying to get it done. It serves no purpose.

I don't know if he's one of the top 5 but the guy is unique. In terms of pure enjoyment to watch I put him up there with Louis Tiant.
