you never know what may happen tomorrow so just believe until the steelers are eliminated. If the texans lose then there will be 2 shots to get in. The raiders have a chance to beat the ravens, any given sunday. The bengals backups (i think the starters play tho) can beat the jets, mark sanchez has been terrible and the bengals stop the run, thats all you gotta do to beat the jets. It aint over til its over. :tt03:

If the Texans win we need the other 2 + a Broncos loss to the Chiefs. With Marshall out that looks a little more likely.
If the Texans do win it would make the Bengals play a little tougher I believe. But the other 2 games would be longshots.

I've got my beer and tequila ready to go for tomorrow. If drinking and believing doesn't work then hopefully I'll be drunk enough to not remember by the end of the day.

I'm also making some Roethlisweiners for added luck, and because they're damn good.

I'm actually not too worried about the Patriots* game. Belicheck is just crazy enough to keep his first-stringers in for 60 minutes.

Ocho and the young players need to go into the postseason strong. Resting them would be a huge deflator of momentum.

As for those crazy Radiers, anything can happen. With victories over us, Philly, and Cinci, it's certainly not out of the question.

Wave them towels, Nation.

good news is KC is up 7-0 and Oakland has at least come to play (ie they don't look completely inept - moving the ball when they have it and forcing Balt to punt, and thus might have a chance at the upset)

I'm happy though, the team went out fighting, and that's enough for me, if they went out the rest of the year the way they looked on the 5 game losing streak I'd feel much worse right now.

You can't win every year, but you have to at least bust your ass and try.

Season Over.

Fine by me. This team has not proven it is playoff-caliber. Teams that lose to the Chiefs, Raiders, and Browns have no business in the playoffs. NONE.

The Steelers have no one to blame but themselves. You wanna make the playoffs? You don't lose to shitty teams. You don't blow 4th Quarter leads. You don't promise to unleash hell and flub to the Raiders. You don't allow Eight sacks against the 32nd ranked D in the league. You don't allow Bruce Gradkowski to own you in your own house.

Too little too late for a winning streak guys. You failed. And now you'll have Eight months to stew over yet another failed Title Defense.

Bluedust
01-03-2010, 06:13 PM
Even though I've said this every year the last 4, I really am excited for the offense next year, with Wallace emerging and all the records made this year, but we need a real defense, so hopefully they can fix that up.

I need one of my own so I can beat down the Steelers fans calling for Lebeau to be fired...good luck.

im sure many here would like to see lebeaus head roll at the expense of masking arians shortcomings.

in the meantime we have routinely see teams rush the ball for 200+ yards against opponents we have held the lead against, yet completely abandoned the run.

not being able to score more that 6 points vs the browns doesnt help much either.

its been a good season though, being that life will go on.

Lets have a test, how did the Steelers lose in 5 of their 7 games this year?

How does the cognitive dissonance taste?

No, it was Arians and Arians ALONE that coughed up 5 4th quarter LEADS to the likes of the mighty Bruce Gradkowski, Louis (the second coming of Jerry Rice) Murphy, et. al and getting run over by essentially a one-man offense (Cribbs). :coffee:
