Next Year, i believe we can go 20-0, we will be third in the AFC Conference with 16-0 and go on to win it :sofunny:

But realisticly what do you guys think our prediction right now would be.

I believe we can go 11-5. :tt04: :tt04: :tt04: :tt03: :tt03: :tt:

Did I miss something? Did they add another game onto the season next year?

I'm calling 13-3. I think they'll play with some anger issues next season.

the two teams ahead of seed #1 and #2 go also 16-0 :P, but in coin toss we get seed #3 and make history!!!

I also think we will return to the #1 ranked defence.

Yeah, we're going to be the first team to go 16-0 and make it to the playoffs as a wild card.

One thing I do know: If there ever is a team to go 19-0 or 20-0, it's definitely not going to be the Colts.

It's too early to tell. Right now, we are a 9-7 team, not a Super Bowl winning team.

If we fix our issues on ST and Defense, we can bounce back to 11-5 or 12-4.

If the team doesn't fix the ST and Defense problems, we are looking at anywhere from 7-9 and 9-7.

The Steelers have holes to fill and the team needs to remedy them in order for them to return to playoff level.

20-0 is not only unrealistic, it's impossible. 19-0 is the max.
I'll be happy if we win our Division and I think we can finish 11-5. That's where we should have finished this year with a minimum of offensive brains.
We have a tough schedule next year.
Then, once in the playoffs, it's one game at a time, as usual.

Too soon for 2010 predictions. And if this year taught us anything, it's that no game is a guaranteed win. I just hope we stay healthy next year...if we do, I like our chances to make the playoffs.

um, yeah, let's talk about this after the entire offseason has gone by first. Even then, who knows lol. I remember in the offseason when most of us were making 14-2, 13-3, 12-4 predictions.

honestly tthe schedule won't mean crap, so we finished 3rd and will play 3rd and 4th place teams in their respected divisions... it means nothing... Changes need to be made, only the players themselves can pin point what went wrong... I confident that our issues were a collective lack of concentration and poise by the entire team... RATHER than personell issues.... It wasn't our year, can't be our year every year... next season we could go 9-7 and win the divsion... sooo just WIN the division, thats what i care about next year...

There was nothing better than going 6-0 in our division our superbowl season last year... nothing better!!!!!!!

we cant make predictions til we find out who stays, who goes, and wat teams win the SB this year, rite now, all we are is a team who didnt make the playoffs and let the raiders, browns, bungles, and chiefs beat us

20-0 is possible, We don't play the Colts next year, they could go 18-0 and another team could go 18-0 who we don't play (say jags) and someone needs to go 3rd.

And it was a joke as i had said we could go 11-5.

Sure there was. Losing our division several years ago, going in as a WC, and taking out Cincinnati, Indy, and Denver on our way to that SB. I enjoyed that one even more.

20-0 is impossible.

20-0 would mean you had to be a wildcard, which would mean there had to be three 16-0 teams in one conference. Each division in a conference plays every other team in a division in the same conference. So at most, a conference could only have two 16-0 teams. Two 16-0 teams get a bye, so the best they could do is 19-0, not 20-0.

Its not impossible, If you were to have 3 16-0 teams, they would be seeded 1, 2, and 3. The third seed would have to play in the wild card round thus the extra game. But I think its safe to say we will never ever see this happen.

it would be cool though, make the patsies cry about their 16-0 record tarnished by a 20-0 record.

No, it is impossible - unless the NFL suddenly changes the way they handle their schedules.

With the current schedule setup, every team from Division A plays every team from Division B, and every team from Division C plays every team from Division D within a conference. If a team in Division A is undefeated, then everybody in Division B has at least one loss (and same with C/D.) That means there can be at most only one 16-0 team from the eight teams in divisions A and B; and at most only one 16-0 team from the eight teams in divisions C and D.

One single conference can at most have only two (not three) 16-0 teams in a regular season. And that means those two teams would get a bye, which means they have at most three playoff games - and at best a 19-0, not 20-0 season.

Prolly cause the Steelers stunk up the joint this season, and are no longer eligible for actual game related discussions for a few months now. Sucks, but this is what it's come to. :fishing:

Too much, Raiders, Chiefs and Browns will do that. :frustrate

ON defense, we will be closer to the 08 team than last years team, we will be healthy and with the hope of some youth added we will be back on top. Our ST were better towards the end of the season, so hopefully that rend continues.
If we can actually convert 50 % more of our redzone opportunities from this season I would expect this team to be no worse than 12-4:tt04:

There is not too much difference in the NFL between going 7-9 up to 10-6.
If we stay healhy I am hoping we can get to 11-5.
Next Year I think that parity reigns again in the NFL, specially the AFC where teams are all failry even.
I see many teams bewteen that 7-9 and 9-7 range again.

Even this year, there wasn't much between 9-7 and 16-0. No more than 7 points in all of our losses. Tighten up ship on all three phases and we could see a 12-4 or better record.
