Welker is out , Moss is hurting and missed a few practices and Brady is not at 100 % ( possible bruised or broken ribs ) so who do you see winning the game and score. Due to the Patriots under Brady never lost a home playoff game , I will give them the game in a close one .

Patriots 24
Ravens 20

So.....which team do you guys prefer to win today? The Ratbirds or the Cheatriots? lol
I honestly am rooting for Baltimore cuz the DO represent our division and have only won one Super Bowl win :toofunny: whereas New England has "won" three with asterisks. Marcia Brady? Ugh!! If Baltimore wins that would be a nice slap to Brady, Bellicheat, the team, and the Brady kiss-ups! What do u think guys?

I have to pull for the Ravens cause the Patriots could cause more havock in the playoffs. We need to get the Patriots out of the playoffs.

I'd rather the Patriots win, I don't want any team in our division near the SB besides us. however i won't root for either and will not watch the game. Just like yesterday. (probably will watch the Packers/Cards game though)

This game smells like poo-poo. I can root for neither as I hate both.

OneForTheToe
01-10-2010, 10:57 AM
Can I root for the blimp to hit the stadium? :noidea:

Despise the Pats, but I can't root for one of our division foes either. The way I see it the media is going to slob all over the Pats no matter what, but the rat birds will be an afterthought unless they were to win their second SB of the decade, which obviously would tie us. I just couldn't stand that possibility.

How about a Nor'easter?

steelpride12

Why would I vote for any hated division rival, no way. Cheaters as well I cannot cheer for. So lets the better team win and I hope both eventually get knocked out early.

Uh oh.

Ray Rice to the house.

Steelers need depth (and speed) in that secondary. Rice just outran the Ravens secondary.

He wouldn't have outrun Troy or Taylor Mays. :applaudit:

Anyway, I'm still rooting for the Patriots. I hate the Ratbirds more than I do the Patriots. I'll be happy if the Patriots lose in the next round against San Diego, then I'll be happy if San Diego loses in the AFC Championship game to...Colts I guess.

It's even worse when the team we beat runs the style of offense I like, and are successful doing it.

I like how they are doing it.

Run Run Run.

They went Run Pass Pass and it ended up in a punt.

Flaco doesn't look like a big game QB so the best thing the Rats can do for him is make sure he doesn't have to win the game for them. They need to keep him in 3rd down and 5 or less.

Run, Run, Run......

I'm going off topic again, but the Steelers BASE offense should be the same that the Ratbirds employ.

The Steelers have enough talent at the QB and wide out spot to change it up a series here and there..going no huddle single back occassionally, but RUN THE BALL.

The Ratbirds are going to beat the Patriots playing "Steeler football" better than the Steelers play "Steeler football".

Now, I'll admit that having Ed Reed instead of Tyrone Carter back there is a big plus.:applaudit:

Are you kidding? 3qtrs of football left man.. You've never seen a team score 21pts to get back in the game?

While Brady & Co. are certainly capable, i've never seen a Pats team so flat in the playoffs and the liklihood of the Ratbird D losing a 24 pt lead, now 17pts, is very slim. I just don't see Pats preventing Rats from scoring at least 10 more. That would require Brady&Co to post another 27 just to tie! LOL:thumbsup:

I have seen brady and co. come out in the second half with fire. If the pats* stop the rats and score once more, it's a 10pt game before half time. I hope not, I hope NE gets embarrassed but I would hardly call the game 'over' with almost 3 qtrs left.

Off topic again.

Lawrence Timmons isn't a good middle linebacker yet.

See those plays where there are a bunch of guys in between the tackles and Ray Lewis still makes a play on the RB? Farrior does the same thing, but less often. Even Larry Foote was able to do it.

Timmons doesn't patrol the between the tackles area well enough yet. He doesn't disengage from blocks like a good middle linebacker should. IMHO he's an outside linebacker they are teaching to play the inside spot. I think he'll be better with time though.

Back on topic.

Patriots ain't doing crap on offense.

True.

But I'm really not comparing the results. More of how the position is played. Disengaging from blockers is the biggest weakness in Timmons' game right now.

It's pretty obvious that he's learning the position. He'd have been a top 5 pick IMHO if he had traditional middle linebacker ability. He's got the tools to be great. It just isn't a position he was groomed for in college and he's fought through some injuries while in the pros that has hindered his development.

Yeah, but how many 3rd and shorts have there been for the Ravens offense today? How many times have they converted (a lot).

If you're good at running the ball I don't call it turtling. I call it being smart offensively. It'd be different if they weren't converting their 3rd and shorts. They are getting to 3rd and short by running the ball like they know what the F%#@ they are doing. (Unlike the Steelers who run to set up the pass)

I think that's a good challenge.

great challenge, it was a first down, but the refs will not reverse it in foxboro.

I think the ravens need to hand out a few eye pokes under the pile

This crew doesn't call many penalties, but at every opportunity, they're favoring the Pats.

I'm still incredulous that they gave the ball to New England on the Chris Carr fumble as so many things needed to go perfectly for the Pats, and the referee was blinded, yet he gave the ball to Marsha and co. anyway.

On this play, he marked Flacco a full yard short.

could consider a QB sneak on 4th

that's clearly a 1st down

13 points is a two possession game, 16 is almost three.

Still a bad spot - should be inside the 6.
